A traditional style award winning bar and restaurant located just outside Westport, Co. Mayo over looking Clew Bay not far from Westport Harbourâ¦.
Made a reservation and would recommend as busy place. Ask for a table in the restaurant part not the bar area (these tables are very small and have stools). Traditional menu, the Mussels were copious and very good. Fish was a little dry though. Good food overall. The Walnut dessert was delightful. Lovely service, barman was very chatty. Wine was good and reasonable too.

The Towers Bar and Restaurant, Westport is one of the best located bar and restaurants in Westport, Co. Mayo. It is the only restaurant on the waters edge in Clew Bay with a stunning view of Croagh Patrick from the Restaurant. The property has a children'
Lovely clean friendly quaint welcoming are just some of the words to describe this gem. Although the place looks small from the outside it's really quite big. The place is immaculately clean and very nicely decorated. There is a fish tank behind the bar which is very relaxing to look at. The food is gorgeous and the staff are so friendly (apart from the bar manager who looks as miserable all the time) we would definitely eat here again and highly recommend it to anyone. We was very happy with our visit.

Cianâs on Bridge Street is a small Restaurant in Westport Co Mayo, which is owned by local Chef Cian Hayes. Cianâs passion for food started at the early age of 16 when he first realised his love for the culinary arts. In Cians on Bridge Street, Cianâs phi
We were participating in a charity event based out of Westport recently and from previous experience knew we wouldn't get the chance to have decent food again till it was over on Sunday. We checked TripAdvisor on the road and Cians got good reviews so decided to try it if possible. It was prime time on a Friday night but still when we arrived on their doorstep they found space for us upstairs. Menus arrived promptly and sufficient time given to decide before the order was taken. As we were under time pressure we decided to only have a main course. My wife had the Classic mussels and french fries. They arrived in a nice pot complete with lid keeping them warm and the full flavour in. They were beautiful, plentiful and flavoursome and the chips were homemade and tasty.I had the steak with pepper sauce and fries. I had asked for mine to be medium rare but it arrived rare, very rare. Otherwise it was a nice size and a nice cut and flavoursome, again the chips were perfect both in quantity, size and taste. The sauce also is to be recommended. We didnt have starter or deserts or tea and coffee unfortunately as we were under pressure for time. We did use the upstairs unisex toilet which was clean, tidy and smelt fresh with everything working and a good size so you dont feel like you need the flexability of a gymnast to get in there.I felt the prices charged reflected the quality of the food, the service given and its location so was happy leaving.

We arrived just as 'early-bird' was ending but were assured we could still avail of that option - so we did. A limited 3-course menu included some interesting variations. The hake was outstanding and the free-range chicken very good. An adventurous dessert combined seaweed and liqourice flavoured ice-cream. Not to everyone's taste but worth a try. The wine list was reasonable in length but could have done with a reasonably priced house option. A very enjoyable meal in a lovely location.

We popped iin here on the off-chance after cycling the Greenway (also recommended). Although small, we were early, at 5.30, so they quickly found us a table for 4. What a treat. My wife always has a carbonara, whenever she tries a new Italian restaurant, so uses this as a benchmark of quality. This was 5 star. I has a special lamb in balsamic dish , which was lovely. Everything we had, between 4 of us, was excellent - reserving special mention for the burrata (exceptional) and the fig salad with a cheese I wish I could remember (outstanding). Don't expect pizza - they don't do them. Instead, enjoy great Italian food, a good selection of wines and beer, and excellent, friendly staff. One of the best Italian restaurants we've been to. A reason to visit Westport, despite the traffic!

An Port Mór Restaurant is run by Chef-Proprietor Frankie Mallon. Our philosophy is to use seasonal, artisan produce from local suppliers. House specialities include pot roasted pigs cheeks with black pudding & apple and vanilla sauce and 21 day dry-aged s
This is a very popular and good restaurant. We couldn't even get in the first night, lacking a reservation. We showed up early for our reservation the following evening. We were seated quickly, and service was friendly, pleasant and efficient. Our table was at the back and was cozy, with great atmosphere. We got 2-course Early Bird dinners. We had excellent appetizers of pigâs cheek salad and salmon. Our entrees of cod with chopped shaved asparagus and fried fennel, with baby potatoes was also excellent. My wife's dessert of Buttermilk Panna Cotta, and her tea were very good, as was my very strong coffee (I like strong coffee, but thankfully it doesn't keep me awake or this stuff would have kept me sleepless for a week). This was an excellent experience, and the prices were remarkably reasonable.

This place on the sea frontage at Westport is deservedly popular. It's essential to book a table in the rather cramped dining space but service is speedy and efficient. Everything you might expect in such a popular place is on the extensive menu. My partner enjoyed her scallops and mussels and I enjoyed the home-made fish cakes (with a large fish content!) and my sole as a main course, all very tasty indeed. If you don't mind the noise associated with a very busy, traditional inn, then this is the place for you. Would go again!

The selection is rather limited, but the food is good. I had chicken curry and home-made naan bread which was excellent - the fish dish was also very good. Service was very good.

We stopped in this restaurant/pub as there was a playground across the road. The menu was amazing, the food when it came did not disappoint and unbelievable value for money. The staff were so friendly and professional. Could not recommend this place enough. ( and after 20 years in the catering business I can be a tough critic)
