We used to live in Faiano and visited the Frestola often. We took friends and family there too. Wonderful food, always a warm welcome too. I have probably eaten everything that was available at some time or another, however a special mention for the spaghetti with clams which was divine. This is the sort of place where you can turn up, sit down, eat and go. No fuss, no faffing, just good honest classic Italian home cooked food... I'm going to be visiting here very soon when I return to Italy in May 2015 to see my family.

We would not have come without the good Tripadvisor reviewsâ¦It was an excellent surprise. Service is very professional and friendly. The decoration is modern and quite tasteful. We were seated close to the window on the kitchen and could see how the cooks were preparing the dishes (under close supervision from a grandmother (?) who was transmitting her family tricks and knowledge).Dinner was an explosion of unknown savors, and we took great pleasure in tasting a wonderful combination of Italian bites. We also recommend the âArte & Pizzaâ pizzeria on the other side of the street, managed by the same family.

While on holidays in Salerno I visited this restaurant which is conveniently situated in a shopping mall. I would have never thought that a chain restaurant could make food this authentic. The pizza, as well as the pasta testes great! Furthermore the service is very friendly.Gianluca, the manager, took special pleasure in advising us about the best choices so we could taste the Italian culture. A must in pontecagnano! Plus, they sell a survival kit with pasta, oil and tomato sauce which is a great gift to take back.

We ate here twice in 3 days because we liked it so much. Lively mix of young people, couples and families in a cosy informal room with outdoor street option. Staff were engaging and relaxed. Everything is freshly caught and different daily - menu on a child's chalkboard. Superb ravioli with prawns, tuna tartare and tuna balls, anchovies, fried squid and octopus, grilled giant prawns, swordfish, razor clams, mussels and much more. Just beware the chilli in olive oil dip that blew our heads off! Very reasonable prices. Busy both nights (Saturday and Tuesday). Recommended!Thank you so much and apologize for our maccheroni english. But we are following an expedited course ... which is late to give its fruit unfortunately. We love you

We were in picentino in june 2014. Good Restaurants are very very hard to find in this area. Price / quality excellent, great service, very good food in cosy restaurant. We paid total 40-50⬠for secondi platti, for two person incl drinks. The restaurant is somewhat hard to find; it is next to a fuel pumpstation. In the garden ( i guess) > 40 chairs , inside upstairs many chairs as wel, as in the ground floor 20-30. Very kind , english spoken bij the boss!

Upon entering the restaurant one can see the pizza dough being worked by the chef and the fantastic puffy and crusty pizzas coming out of the old oven.It was difficult to choose between the authentic pizzas and the other Italian dishes so I chose both.Amuses on the house were good too: pizetti and bruschetta. After dinner we where all too filled up to try a dessert but the chef decided we should try so they brought us a all a small glass filled with home made fig sorbet. Delicious! If you are ever near this nice restaurant which is situated in an old water mill, then do visit!
