Still, the island retains its idyllic beauty, with 3,000-foot mountains and scores of gorgeous beaches. I like unique places. I've been to places that bring you a hot lava rock where you cook your own food, so this is not completely unique. However it was well presented, well delivered and good quality ingredients.it's not cheap but they have a nice variety and it's worth a stop.

L'indochine - fine dining signature cuisine with asian - indian ocean rim influence & european flair
Peaceful experience with v good service but the food, whilst ok, did not justify the additional expense - too much style over substance.

Small creole restaurant run by Seychellois family with an entirely creole straff. We are situated on the slope of a hill surrounded by lust-green vegation. The view looks down to the Takamaka beach. Our speciality are fresh fish and fuit bat. We welcome v
The Restaurant Le Reduit is a nice and original one situated in the middle of the forest surrounded by exhilarating vegetation. Itâs therefore a restaurant located in a sort of a paradise. The day light coming in through the large windows when they are wide open makes the customers happy thus enjoying a bright and gay atmosphere. It's paradoxically cozy thanks to the scant decoration.I went there on the occasion of an excursion around the Island of Mahé, as a part of it. We ate some typical Créole food very well cooked and tasty. Everything was perfect until the music machine was switched on. From that moment onwards I felt like fleeing away. It was so,loud and the music so nasty that our repast was completely spoiled. The people sitting at the same table couldnât even make themselves understood when talking to each other so I decided to keep silent for the rest of the lunch. The alternative would have been to yell all the time to go on holding a dialogue. Itâs a pity since otherwise, without that noise pollution, that place would be quite confortable and good and thus a recommendable one.Dear periandro,Warm greeting from the Le Reduit team and a big thank you for reviewing us.We appreciate your comment.First, I would like to thank you for your just and fair comment about the food and the location of the restaurant.I will also agree with you about the music. (Second such comment about music in a space of 2 weeks,)But, let me assure you it is a matter of choices.1- Some clients want the music STOP altogether just to listen to the sound of nature.2- Some claimed it is too DULL with no ambiance.3- Some suggested the music is too LOURD.4- Some claimed the music is to SOFT5- Some have NO opinion at all.6- I'm LOST.What I believe also provoked your comment was that you were in a large group (Mason's) and it was difficult to satisfy all of you.Believe me most of the time we abide to the client reguest in that respect when asked and whenever it is possible. Please accept our apology.

La Scala Restaurant is one of the best ones which I have tried and truly appreciated everything...The Place is really well situated with parking facilities...Right from the beginning as soon as i entered the restaurant, the Lady was welcoming and she eventually was the one who took our reservation...The Lady who took our orders was really helpful and very friendly...The other waiters were very attentive.Hats off to the Chef...The food served was simply Wow...One of the most delicious Fish Starter i had and thoroughly enjoyed it...n will definitely come back again for more. The main course also is really worthwhile...had Tagliatelle Scala and it was cooked to perfection...My husband had a grilled Fish n that too was yummy. This place deserves a 5 star as right from the doorstep you feel welcome and to top it off the Chef works wonders...I highly recommend this place and looking forward to my next dinner. This place opens only for dinner and reservations must be made.

We had starters and main courses and had mixed responses. The Carpacio all'itallia (SCR195) was a perfect combination of beef & parmesan etc., however the carpaccio wasabi (raw fish & wasabi from a tube)SCR200, was underwhelming on the flavour side. The portions were generous though. The seared tuna tagliata (SCR385) was well prepared, but wasabi from a tube was disappointing. The veal ham & mushroom (SCR455) also lacked flavour. However the service was very good & friendly. We would not have returned though.

Quaint little restaurant right on the beach. We were told to try this restaurants by locals and we are glad we did -- moreso for the views. The staff were really nice and welcoming. We were greeted with smiles which was really nice. The place is rather cute with great views of the beach and the nearby island. We ordered the red snapper filet wrapped in banana leaf with breadfruit croquettes and a saffron coconut sauce due to it being the recommended dish by the waitress. When it arrived, the waitress made a wonderful presentation once the food was plated. The dish was nice but not as I had expected based on the recommendation. The breadfruit croquettes were really tasty but I wasn't fond of the saffron coconut sauce. We also ordered the lobster (to share) due to the waitress telling us it was 2 lobsters. When the lobster arrived it was a small lobster and only one. The lobster was cut in half. Nonetheless, the lobster was just o.k.This really cute waiter helped us chose a drink 'signature drink with apple cider'... It was a good choice. Again, the guy was really cute but trust me, it's not the reason I think the drink was NICE. :) It's a must try.Overall, this restaurant is worth a try. Even if you just stop in for drinks and the views. :) Lovely, lovely views.:) If you don't mind pets, you might see a pack of dogs running along the beach. It was only one occasion a little dog came up the stairs but quickly turned around since none of us paid him enough mind to feed him.Lovely views. I can't say that enough. You will enjoy. Pictures to be posted later.Enjoy! We are glad you had an amazing time and get to appreciate the fantastic view.

Our beach-side sanctuary providing a romantic atmosphere with wonderful views of Beau Vallon Beach, whilst serving the freshest seafood and assorted cuts from the creole inspired barbecue.
We came to eat in Eden restaurant as H resort guests. Service was so welcoming and warm. The location of the restaurant is great, as it is just by the beach and it is so romantic dining while listening to the waves. But we experienced few things that we think didnât fit the standard of the resort: We felt that the food was not that amazing and wasnât worth the prices. My fish was over cooked and dry, the side grilled vegetables were lacking flavor and some were bitter, we had ants walking on our table...It is still very important to note that service was excellent, as the chef came to our table to figure out what we didnât like in the meal, and gave us a free dessert. But we still think that the total dinner experience wasnât worth the high prices and that the restaurant could improve. The H-Resort in itself was an amazing experience and we will definitely recommend staying in the resort!!Dear netaweitz,Thank you so much for your review, your input and comments really mean a lot to us.We will definitely have a brainstorm and feedback meeting with the chef and the team and our sincere apologies as what you experienced with the food is not in line with our standards. We pride ourselves in the freshness and robustness of Eden's food and hope that we can welcome you again in the near future so that you can experience really what we are made of.I wish you a lovely day.Kind regards,Melissa

Lovely ambience to the whole place. Past colonialism meets future food excellence. We were met with a smile and helped to outdoor seating overlooking the growing sugar cane. The facility is not just a restaurant but also a Rum distillery. Obviously the pre-dinner cocktails had a rum theme. We had a beached Mojito and a rum Negario. Both tasted great. Food was a high quality. Prawns with seaweed and veal/tuna for starters. Both very good. The mains were even better. Kingfish wrapped in bacon. And duo fish. Oh my word. The taste of both was lovely. Great job by the chef and the staff. This is a MUST visit place for anyone visiting the Seychelles.

LE BISTRO - the place close to town with easy access and parking where you can eat rapidly (or not if you prefer not to :-) ) delicious Creole and French dishes at very affordable prices . Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and sweets . Open from Monday to F
Le Bistro is a very cosy restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. The staff are mostly French-speakers but they speak other languages as well and are very welcoming. The menu ha few options but whatever is on offer is definitely worth. My colleagues and I had a birthday lunch there and we had a wonderful time. The food came warm and served with a smile and we didn't even have to wait long. I ordered grilled squid in spicy sauce and a serving of steamed vegetable. The portion is a bit small but the price is right. The dessert was just fantastic and comes highly recommended- they are also very affordable.Overall it's a great place (very busy during lunch time) but it's a shame they close at 17h00. They should really consider opening unti later (say, dinner) and weekends. It's a great change from your ordinary french restaurant as it really gives you a local taste of Seychelles.
