First off all we had to wait 30min for the table we had booked a day in advance. When we got the menu in Italian there were no initiative to help us understand the menu, but we managed to find some answers threw google translate. We ordered two different starters, and both were ok tasting, but nothing more. The service was quite poor, as no one asked if we wanted anything more to drink during the dinner, or between the two corses. For main course we ordered the ray bream (lâoriata), but it really didnât taste good. Both of us usually love everything from the ocean and arenât picky people, so it was surprising to find food we didnât like. The restaurant was crowded with people, and it was a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately the acoustic at our table was so bad that we nearly had to shout to keep a conversation. We had high hopes for the food in this restaurant, but we were quite disappointed.

A place where LUXURY HOME, DESIGN AND FOOD blend in perfect harmony, exalting the artisan art that has always been characterizes the Italian context. In "Colore&Sapori" you can enter in touch with many of the excellences Italian crafts in the field of foo
Extellent service and food! We had suckling pig and risotto, so yummy! Must try the cheesecake! Also they serve the wonderful cocktails. The 2 waiters who serve us were very sweet. Just need to change the music choices and lighting to bring more atmosphere in the restaurant. Also not expensive at all!

Obviously âdiscoveredâ by numerous other reviewers, this off the beaten track restaurant is a notch above the typical Lucchese osteria. If youâre seeking bistecca fiorentina, this is NOT the place for you. There are plenty of great options in the immediate vicinity that wonât disappoint. On the other hand, if youâre in the mood for contemporary Sicilian cuisine that combines the advantage of the abundance of fresh Tuscan ingredients and great presentation, by all means seek out Ristorante la Norma. From the tiny exterior, it seems impossible that youâll even get a table without booking well in advance, but the narrow entryway opens into a large main dining room with generously spaced tables. Other reviews have extolled on the various dishes on offer, so thereâs no need to belabor the point; but I must say that the starter of potato soup with squid ink, olive oil, and truffle is not something Iâd have ever thought to order, but is the best thing Iâve put in my mouth this year.

Dined here this evening with my family for an end of holiday celebratory meal.As the prices were on the high side for Lucca we expected good quality food but regrettably we were disappointed. The fried seafood was dry and inedible - the sea bass and vegetables over cooked and tasteless - the service slow and charmless. On complaining about the quality of the food I was offered the same dishes to be cooked again - no refund and no waiver of cover charge.Iâd strongly recommend avoiding this tourist trap.

Fresh and contemporary cuisine directed by the executive chef Marco Zucconi. The culinary proposition is a symphony of flavors with amazing details. Research and innovation are based on a careful selection of raw materials, which prefers seasonal ingredie
We went as a group of 5 and had a reservation which is a must. The server was very patient as she explained all the offerings on the menu which was in Italian and due to the uniqueness of some of the offerings, we could not guess. They have a very extensive wine list and the server, who mentioned she was also a sommelier, recommended some local wines which were really, really good. All of our meals were wonderful and there was a lot of passing around tastes. The hit of the evening was suckling pig which was wonderful, so tender and tasty. Really a nice evening at a nice restaurant.

A wine restaurant where you can enjoy well-selected wines, the fruit of a long and continuous search that compliments the cuisine of Chefs Maurizio Marsili and Alessandro Lucchinelli. The chef wakes up early in the morning to make sure he can secure the b
I had lunch here on a rainy Friday in October 2018 en route from San Gimignano to Camaiore. It was somewhat tricky to find amongst the luxurious villas and mansions dotted around this rich, lush landscape on the outskirts of Lucca, but well worth the effort.I accepted the recommendation of Andrea, the patron, of a glass of La Goia di San Stefano which is produced just down the road and is a truly beautiful bianco on the palette, especially with seafood in which this extraordinary restaurant specialises. My starter was a crudità of several types of local fish and shellfish. Presented magnificently on a capacious platter, it was distressing to disturb it's perfection by consuming it, but consume it I did - with relish. My mains was a generous portion of Muggine, also a local fish, white and tender served with a herb and potato pastiche and delicious fresh baby leaves. There was a definite secret ingredient which I would guess involved caramelized lemon. It was truly brilliant. (Andrea, who had taken great pains to explain the menu to me in his easy going and engaging way, insisted on re-cooking the main course as I had left my table as it arrived for 2 minutes.)As a parting digestive and a gift I was given a local gin infused with a herb from a plant which grows only on the local beaches and is much prized for its honey. The bill came to â¬70 which in my view was well worth it.The bread, coffee and accompanying biscuits were all of exceptional quality. This is quite clearly an exceptional restaurant and will rank as the best ever of a month's holiday in AndalucÃa and Tuscany/Umbria. Don't miss it if you're ever in the area!

Celebrated my Birthday and our wedding Anniversary at this lovely restaurant which was recommended to us. The waiters really looked after us and were so friendly thoroughly enjoyed the food which was beautifully presented and each course explained to us and I didnât want dessert but they still presented me with some ice cream because they wanted to celebrate my birthday and they gave me a rose at the end. A little more expensive but worth it. Will definitely dine here again if we return to Lucca

A delightful place for dinner. The falafel appetizer is subtly spiced and savory. The "Ever Been in Thailand" is a dinner salad with wonderfully seasoned beef strips. The lime-mint semifreddo was incredibly refreshing. You really should check this little gem out, a bit off the beaten track but well worth the visit. Highly recommended. One other thing -- a times they will have live music as well.

A meal here is an exceptional experience - the each evening's set menu allows ingredients to shine. The wines on offer allow a good complement. The service is warm and friendly. The assortment of torte desserts a nice summary to a great dining experience. The friendly service and owners' attention to the curiosity of the diners about the dishes and their preparation was a pleasure to experience.

As a frequent visitor to Lucca, I have my favourite restaurants - but decided to try this new restaurant. I had booked a table outside on the terrace facing the Puccini museum. The service was great - and the food served, while typical of Tuscan food & Lucca specialities - had a special twist, superbly presented in the plate, and really delicious. This place will join my list of favourite restaurants!
