My best friend and I tried out The Whale's Rib for dinner on Thursday, 9-26-2019 at around 6:45 PM. We were greeted by a nice server (who didn't laugh at my joke about not wanting a Whale Rib but instead an Orca Clavicle... can't win em' all...)I had the scallops and a side of broccoli. My friend had a shrimp pasta. Both were good, didn't blow us away and consequently we did not return while in Deerfield Beach (a total of 7 days).

We came in for dinner. We had reservations. We had the Beef Wellington a long wait 1 hr and 30 mins . Our server told us 3 others ordered beef wellington and it takes longer ??BOTH servers seemed confused and RUNNING INTO EACH OTHER unorganized and needed training. I asked for some more bread hmm never got it. We had to ask for our Sorbet. A strange lady outside window on the sidewalk washing her clothes with the rain water. THE FOOD & Wine WAS EXCELLENT. The restaurant was cute and quaint. Glad you enjoyed our Motherâs Day comedy dinner theater! All kidding aside, we are very happy you enjoyed your dinner overall and apologize for the service issues during your visit. Beef Wellington normally take 35 to 40 minutes from the time the order is put in. Itâs prepared to order only. It did take longer on such a busy night. Please come back again to enjoy our fine food, wine, lovely ambiance and improved customer service. Thank you.

Cap's Place was a speakeasy and a gambling casino in the Roaring 20's located on an island that was at the time, a part of the Florida bush. Frequented by the "Rich & Famous" (and most often the "infamous"), it's Broward County's oldest restaurant having been in business for more then 90 years. It's accessible by boat (complimentary) from a private dock adjacent to the Lighthouse Point Marina located at the end of a winding road off US Route #1. It's less then a 10 minute trip on the boat which comfortably holds about 20 people. It's a rather rustic place occupying more then one building. Tables are set with oilcloth coverings with paper placemats and cloth napkins. The menu is somewhat limited favoring local seafood. Our friendly, knowledgeable and attentive waitress Bonita, recited a list of the day's catch and specials for the evening. We chose the calamari appetizer (they were out of the escargot), a seafood plate and the Mediterranean chicken. Popovers and a choice of sides were included. The food is "adequate" but nothing memorable. It's fairly priced for seafood. We found it an enjoyable place to re-live a piece of history and people watch the very eclectic patrons in attendance.

We went with my cousins to this restaurant for dinner and had a fabulous time. We sat outside and shared our table with another couple who were very friendly and fun to talk to you. We had a series of seafood dishes that were spectacular. We started with the stone crab claws. Pricey but well worth the money. Next came the fried and blackened counch. I preferred the blackened version. Next we had several of the sushi rolls. All were fairly similar but very tasty.Iâm hoping we can come back here for dinner again before we leave the area.

Combine beautiful water and marina views with friendly service and great seafood, and you have the Nauti Dawg. Fresh made food and a great wine and beer selection.
Sat inside. Too hot for outdoor seating (in the 90's) -- although the outdoor tables were occupied as time went on. If they had dogs with them, the windows from inside were too high to see. Restaurant is small. Doesn't take reservations. Might want to go early or late for lunch.Several had a burger and onion rings side (no upcharge for swapping out FFs). The Fish 'n Chip order was pronounced good and the fish portions (2) pieces were quite big and squared off. I guess you could take the other piece home for a fish sandwich. The prices were a little high, but the quality was good. Not a big menu. Did spot a Veggie Burger. Salads with add ons, Sandwiches and tacos. I didn't see many seafood options (my preference). But, overall enjoyed what I had.Service was efficient, food arrived hot, refills on tea without asking -- All good. If you want the best view of the marina activity, you'll have to sit outside. GPS Alert---> Turning east on NE 24th, the road will eventually fork. My suggestion is ignore the GPS sending you to the LEFT fork. From the "left" route when you get down to Marina Circle, you'll be on the wrong side of a one-way north. And, you may loose time and patience trying backtrack thru the maize of side roads and parking areas. Instead, go to the RIGHT fork all the way down. Park in the elongated parking lot caddycorner to the green stucco restaurant. If you have to drop someone off in front, do so, but it's one way and you'll need to navigate your way to a parking spot. There's a few spots on the street if you are lucky. No live music while we were eating. Not expecting it, but they advertise it.

First Impression Not Great, Heard alt about this place decided to give it a try. Not super busy so getting seated was quick. Let me list my concerns and why I gave a poor rating: eating utensils not rinsed clean coated with soap film , Queso dip - canned cheese, really salty could not eat, server did not remove from bill, entrees arrive, dinner plates also coated with a soap film, I mean to the point you can rub the film off with your fingers, food was ok, service was ok... Did not make a scene or request a manager, just didn't finish our food , paid our bill for stuff we couldn't finish eating due to bad taste and or dinnerware coated with soap film and left. Not a first choice place to visit again. The food is not that good. Atmosphere is fun and has indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of parking. So I left 3 positive remarks for seating, atmosphere and parking... I did note on my receipt, First impression NOT good, SorryThank you for reviewing our Lighthouse Point location. My wife and I usually stop by here with friends when down in Pompano. They have very good sushi here and the guys that make it are super nice. This visit though I got the Lobster and Pork belly tacos with bacon and avocado, they were awesome, I definitely recommend them. The waitress was distracted and had to redo our ticket because she didn't separate our check. She also didn't come around often so I didn't get a refill. This won't stop me from going again, nor should it stop you. The food is great so when in the area give it a try.

First of all if you haven't been there, use your GPS or Google maps. And when you see the outside, don't let that keep you out. It doesn't look like much from the outside. But inside, the fish is fresh and it's one of the few places that will still cook your catch if you bring it in and they only charge $10 for the dinner with two sides. Unbeatable deal.I definitely recommend the cracked conch, kind of like fried clams but way better! They are moving soon, so you may want to give them a call when you're ready to go to be sure they haven't moved yet. Ranked 5th best restaurant in Pompano Beach - and worth it!
