We deliberately sought this restaurant out, after some research on TripAdvisor. It was only minutes away from the site we were staying on. Although the weather was grim it was still possible to sit outside overlooking the bay. Everything we ordered was so fresh and tasty. Seafood heaven. Very happy and relaxed atmosphere. Friendly service. A little corner of paradise. I recommend you go and see for yourself...

Restaurant based on the port of Ares next to the water, which specializes in fish from the Arcachon bay and seafood
We were really looking for another restaurant, but couldn't find it so not an auspicious start. So we sat down for lunch. The cabin has views over a short canal with oyster shacks on both sides, and was a beautiful spot to dine.We had the menu de jour with a glass of good French white wine by the glass with a creamy remoulade, for starter - so far so ok. The main course was beautifully cooked fish (Lotte) on a bed of green beans, and was excellent. Desert was a very tasty raspberry coolie on top of a mousse. Price was very reasonable. It's always good to find places that offer up a memorable dining experience with superb ambience and views that actually still try when it comes to the food.A truly memorable lunch in amazing surroundings.

Second time we are there. The first time, long, long waiting time, spoiling the Dîner. This time, great. Nice weather so nice view on the small Harbor and we were lucky enough to watch a great sun set. So great location for Dîner. The wine is good with a good wine list. Not all from Bordeaux area!! We took a white wine from the Bergerac region upon the vice of the waiter. Great advice, excellent wine and affordable. We were there have a big sea food plate. We got it. Impressive. Not so expensive and excellent. Oyster : very goodShrimps: great, deliciousShells : goodCrab : overcooked. So not so delicious. When checking we told this to the owner and he spontaneously deduced the crab from the bill. Wow, impressive in France. Prawns : deliciousSo a great moment, the view, the delicious sea food and the wine. On top of that, the kindness of service and the reaction of the owner in front of a small complaint. Highly recommended.

We chose this restaurant based on the reviews. Full marks for vista and quality of food, but very limited. 2 types of prawn off the menu - no sparkling water. We wrongly assumed all the cabanas would be similar but no. Very friendly staff.

Top reveiws brought us th this seafood tasting restaurant and after being shown to a lovely table overlooking the harbour we ordered some oysters, prawns and some of the homemade paté along with a carafe of dry white wine. beautifully presented with bread this was a seafood lovers dream. We went for lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Great setting, very simple menu, excellent service and excellent food. Choose from fresh oysters, pork pate, big juicy prawns, tasty whelks or winkles, or order a plate of each and share. Served with bread and mayonnaise. No cooking involved, just lovely fresh seafood. The restaurant did get busy even though it was out of season and mid-week, so I recommend you aim to get there at 12 noon. The owner is an oyster farmer and sells them at local markets. You can also book to go out on his boat to see him at work - something we plan to do next time.

Following a hopeless visit to Cabanne 44 we had much better luck here .A lovely Sunday lunch with good food & excellent service- the wild prawns were sensational. It was so good we booked for a birthday dinner for my son on Tuesday night - we would not have gone if we had known how limited the menu would be but it turned out perfectly. The wine as strongly recommended was excellent. It's a family business and they looked after my family very well
