With a history of more than 20 years in fine dining, this well known restaurant, has the privilege of a breathtaking location at an exclusive area of the south coast of Athens. Perfect for a romantic dinner or a high profile event as well. In it's menu tw
The restaurant is beautiful and the view is outstanding. Menu is very cool and creative.Table setup and menu selection is very good. The apetizers are fantastic especially the yellowtail tartare. The pastas could be better though. There is a very nice selection of wines and spirits.Apple tart is brilliant. This restaurant is something you have to try if you are staying in athens.

One of the best places to have Greek/Fusion cuisine! We ordered octopus, baby calamari, assortment of salads and white fish which was fried in kataifi filo dough and topped with an Asian sauce....Absolutely delicious!!! Great atmosphere and very friendly service. When we tried visiting again, on a Saturday night, there was at least a half an hour wait, but unfortunately we had to leave seeing that we were pressed for time. I will definitely visit again!Bravo paidia...katapliktiko fagito! :-)

Great choice for a business meeting with good service and amazing location. Make a reservation for a table next to the sea.You should try the crawfish rissotto and the grilled kalamari with feta and tomato! The fish cheeks were not good but all the rest as per pictures delicious.

Fresh small fish and seafood, fried or grilled, such as sardines, pilchard, octopus, mussels, crabs, breams, bogues, cod and more. Try fresh mussels teriyaki, marinated pilchard, taramosalata, prawn guvetsi, seafood spaghetti, grilled arrow squid and more
A nice restaurant with a variety of seafood. Really enjoyed the tray with the appetizers. Not cheap but not too expensive either. Personnel needs to smile a bit more but otherwise friendly.

The fish is fresh and cooked to perfection. I recommend the 'perka' (bass? I think) white fish that they will de-bone for you in front of you so you dont have to do any work, just a little of the oleolado and lemoni (lemon and olive oil) and your in gastronomic heaven. The tzatziki is one of the best I've had in Greece, the xoriatiki (Greek village salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and feta) is wonderful, the bread perfect for dipping in the olive oil of the salad, the kalamarakia are also very fresh, pretty much anything you order will not dissapoint. I have been to Trechanthri many times and will go again many more. The restaurant is right on the water, a pebble beach that the crowds stay away from and I highly recommend going for the day, swimming and then enjoying a wonderful lunch by the sea.

Yes Barba Giorgis is in my blood and part of who I am. The first time I set foot ... rather cradle at Barba Giorgis, I was a couple of months old in the early 1960s. Certainly I was not yet ready to taste fish, but I did indulge in goat yogurt (go to Magginas at Kalivia if you are a fan of such succulent yogurt as I am - taste the goat feta as well) - mind you, cow milk was non existent these times. My dad Soulis got to know the place in the early 1950's when he would take a break returning from hunting with his brother George and other friends. The taverna was held by Barba Giorgis, i.e. "Uncle George", and his wife, and ownership continued with the same family for 3 generations, whom I got to know and befriend. We nicknamed the place "Mr Fish". Initially it had a small kitchen (the front part of what you find now where the cooking fireplace is), a small dining room (what is now the entrance and a room right behind it) with a fireplace for the winter times, and a huge outside area, half under a patio (a part of what you can see now). The building was all white washed typical of the times to reduce vermin from entering the house. It is still white! The food was simple serving fresh fish (fried or grilled), home made excellent retsina wine, meze notably its tzatziki with yugourt from Magginas, and salads notably the Greek one with succulent tomatoes not to forget feta from Magginas. The olive oil has come form Peloponissos southwards from Nafplion: it is light and tasty. After more than 50 years of serving exactly the same dishes with the same quality, taste, zeal, friendliness, in a cozy and quiet environment, it is always an emotional moment to go back, not only because of the owners and my history with this place, but because I know that what I will eat will be a treat for my body and my soul.

I really enjoyed this night! Excellent food, world class service, fantastic location, two great singers that really made this night unforgettable. The prices were on the higher spectrum but I guess fresh fish and -quality - live music deserve that. I highly recommend that you go on a full moon night since nothing beats the experience.

Good, friendly & nice place to stop by between Athens & Cape Sounion. The foods were delicious. But it was quite slow in serving the varieties of dishes such as bread, salad, vegetables, shrimp, meat, dessert. The interval between each dish was quite long. After all the sightseeing, we were tired already, we just wanted to eat and go back & rest in the hotel, not waiting & waiting for each dish to slowly come out.

We visited Kohylia twice in July 2018.The setting is beautiful. Next to the sea with a few tables on a big deck. The food was excellent. The sushi was great and from the main course the best dish, in my opinion, was the Polynesian Crispy potato. ( Itâs a MUST ) !!!!We tried the black cod too. Big portion, enough for two people, and very good.Itâs pricy, however quality comes at a price. Finally they must add a couple more good labels of wine at a better price. All in all itâs a great experience with excellent service too.
