Spud Fish & Chips in Juanita has been a neighborhood, family owned landmark since 1969. We are located just across the street from the Juanita Beach Park and our meals are cooked to order. From our family to yours, we thank you for making our tradition su
First thing to mention is this Spuds has nothing in common with the original Spuds on Alki. They both serve Fish and Chips but are totally different. The Fish at this location is battered different and does not taste the same. My biggest complaint is the Tater sauce. It has so much lemon in it that it is almost soar. The people working here are Great!! It is the only upside to the place.Hi rapgamble - thanks for the kind words about the crew. I will share it with them! You are correct, the fish at Alki is a frozen stick, but we batter the same every morning. It is the SPUD tradition so there should be very little difference. However, I will share your feedback with the teams. Tartar might be different from store to store since we all make it in house and add a little bit of this or that to make it special. If you don't like the one you have, just let us know and we can get you another one of our 8 sauces (or another tartar) to try. Never should be average, but always great. We hope to see you again soon for a meal on us!

Beach Cafe is located on the Lake Washington waterfront and the view is magnificent. The food is also excellent, at least for breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed the eggs Benedict, farmer's market omelette, and shakshuka. The poached eggs with the Benedict and shakshuka were perfectly cooked, neither too runny nor too hard. There is also validated parking.MOG,Thank you for your recent 5 star review and feedback! Ok so it isn't really hidden, but it's fairly new. My husband and I were looking for something fresh and new and found it in downtown Kirkland. Tasty bowls featuring fresh fish or tofu. Tons of alacarte options or pick out one of the specials. Can't wait to go back. Super friendly helpful staff.

Came here recently for dinner with a large group of friends, and the majority of us were unimpressed. Our waiter was friendly, and seemed like a nice guy, but the service was pretty terrible (and the restaurant was virtually empty, so there was really no excuse). The drinks were good, but they were definitely the highlight of the meal. The spinach artichoke dip with crabmeat wasnât good, and there was definitely not any crab in it, the harvest caprese salad was small, and the butternut squash was completely undercooked. The salmon entrees were dry and over cooked; the halibut was bland; and the crab stuffed rockfish was the biggest disappointment of all - there were only a few minuscule pieces of crab in just the middle of the piece of fish, it was dry and really not very good. We will not be back the next time weâre in WA.

Had a nice nigiri sampler tonight. Every cut was delicious and service spot on. If you want to try some traditional dishes, this is definitely the place to go. Prices are highish, but well worth it. A must if you are in the area.

Husband and I each ordered the cedar plank salmon with basil aioli and sautéed asparagus. It came with rice pilaf which they let us substitute with a side salad. The salmon was prepared perfectly as was the asparagus. The side salads were a generous serving of mixed greens with tomatoes and cucumbers. The balsamic dressing was particularly tasty. My son got short ribs with jasmine rice over which was a sunny side up egg. It also came with sautéed asparagus. He liked his a lot, said the short ribs were very tender and flavorful. The wines by the glass were fine. We didnât order dessert. Our server was attentive and friendly. We had a window seat overlooking the lake, which was an added plus. All in all a good dining experience.

I ordered a 7 ounce steak and asked for the steak to be cooked "blue" which means very rare. I received about a four ounce chunk of hard leather. The salad and bread were outstanding but the butter was minimal. The wait staff were very efficient and friendly. All in all, an average meal with sour dough bread and salad in the wonderful range and the baked potato also outstanding. The meat was less than average.Hi there, thank you for your feedback! I am happy to hear you had wonderful service, however, I do apologize that your steak was overcooked! I have shared your comments with our management team along with our team of chefs. In the meantime, I would like to have our general manager touch base with you about your visit. Please email me a good contact phone number and I will have her give you a call. I hope to hear from you soon!-Emily, [email protected]
