Just 80 kilometers north of Phuket, Khao Lak was essentially erased by the 2004 tsunami. But the town, and the tourist industry it relies on, has rebounded. It remains quieter than other coastal destinations, offering secluded beaches, tranquil nights and family-oriented activities. You want full moon parties and besotted nights? You’re out of luck. But if you’re looking for unparalleled scuba diving in the Similan Islands, you’ve hit the jackpot.

We have eaten at Ben's on more than 10 occasions, firstly back in December 2018 and now in June 2019 on our Wedding Anniversary holiday. We haven't tried the pizzas that they are renowned for here, however the Thai food is absolutely delicious. We have tried so many items on the menu, and have never ordered one that we weren't delighted with. The service is very good, cold hand towels on arrival & they are very hospitable. The cocktails are great value, and thankfully not as weak as most places make them. We have been to Thailand seven times in total and this was our 2nd trip to Khao Lak. Bens is definitely one of our top 2 favourites that we will keep going back to in Khao Lak for sure!

Thai Food,International Food, Imported Steak, Pizza, Pasta ,Seafood
Ordered a medium surf and turf because the offered Australian beef - it was disgusting. Instead of medium it was served as a sneaker sole in a instant sauce. Even the prawn was too long on the grill an dry, served in tomato sauce. I have the steak back and after asking for a reduction the reduced the price of the Menge by 10% - worst service Iâve ever seen in Thailand!

Warm welcome and service. You will leave with smile.
We went here for dinner this evening and ended up having 3 courses! All for under £17 with drinks... I am vegan and they were very accommodating. I ordered veggie spring rolls followed by vegetable with cashew nuts and rice. I specified no oyster or fish sauce and they understood perfectly. My other half had Tom Yum soup with prawns followed by curries chicken stir fry. The dishes were cooked wonderfully with not too much oil and lots of flavour. They recommended mango sticky rice for dessert which we shared - one lady came out and explained how they made it. It was delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed our simple Thai meal and would not hesitate to come back here again - thank you :-)

Pakweep beach in Khao lak.
Have been travelling to Khao Lak over the last 6 years. This year because 5 of the top 10 restaurants on trip advisor were all on this beach I decided I must give it ago. 1st of all I think Bar Say and Orchide Restaurant are two restaurants that have merged. Its not 1 restaurant, itâs one for drinks one for food. This is obvious when you see the menus one new from one side, one old from the other with bits tap over parts of the menu to hide names and prices. Ok the review. Based on lots of restaurants Iâve visited the last couple of weeks this is the worst. 1st of all your sitting on the corner of a road with the ocean in front of you. Thats ok. But the place looks very tatty and then thereâs the work shop making bamboo furniture right behind you. Nail gun.......... Nail gun.......... Nail gun.......... Compressor..... And repeat. By far the worst spring rolls Iâve had since I landed (Greasy like the free ones you get with a Chinese at home). All the food well under par. Donât be mistaken in my opinion after visiting most of the top ten restaurants on trip advisor this may be a popular beach bar, but a good restaurant it is not.

Simply amazing! Dishes were cooked to perfection, drinks served chilled , prices reasonable, drove us back and forth to our hotel (Beyond) - nothing was ever any trouble for K. Karn (all the best with the coming birth) - best of all, warm smiles and home cooked Thai food straight from the heart. See u again next year ! We are glad to know that you enjoy the food at Chill-lay restaurant. Thank you for trying our food and taking the time to share the experience, hope to meet you again if you return to Khao Lak.

Was recommended to this place from our friends at Chill-Lay (love how these beach restaurants support each other!) and was a lovely way to cap our restful stay at Khao Lak.Being low season, place was empty but the food, hospitality and friendly service was top notch. The crispy duck with special tamarind sauce is a real highlight. Found the Tom Yum slightly spicy for my wife but something easily rectified for future. The Radha noodles were really delectable, and the whole snapper steamed with lime and garlic was par excellence. Will definitely be back when we are next in the âhood!

Fresh food and drinks in a laid back garden atmosphere! Try our delicious seafood! Cocktails and fresh fruit shakes! Coffee and ice cream ! Welcome!
Thank you Trip Advisor! If we hadnât read the reviews we would of missed out on Pamâs.They can arrange a taxi service if required.Booking is advised. The restaurant is small and enchanting. Fairy lights, beautiful flowers and a really lovely atmosphere. The cocktail menu was extensive and great value. As for the food.....delicious! We were blown away. The only slight and itâs very slight, we requested spicy for one dish and it was âwesternâ spicy! No prob though, it was sorted immediately. It was a birthday and a cake was arranged too, a really wonderful touch.
