We had dinner at this restaurant twice during our visit. Both times, the service was amazing. The servers there are such professionals, they are warm and attentive. I felt very pampered during our dinner. The seafood tower (50% off during happy hour from 5-6 pm) is absolutely worth it. From the presentation to the freshness and quality of the seafood, it is divine. I loved all of the different sauce options and it was a wonderful opening to our evening. The restaurant does a mix between buffet and served entrees. For our first visit, the options on the buffet were wonderful and I chose the Lobster entree with the culinary showcase (that's what they call the buffet). The food was wonderfully prepared, fresh, and very tasty. During our second visit, I chose the Filet Mignon, which was prepared to perfection. I also chose the culinary showcase, but learned that this one was not as good as the first one...the chowder was the same, as were the salad options, with the exception of a quinoa salad for which I did not care. With that said, the culinary showcase is great, but make sure you look at the food options before spending the extra $65. On our second visit, I realized that I spent $65 and only had a piece of cheese and a small salad. My fault, not theirs. The food is wonderful and the venue overlooks the resort and the ocean. I would definitely come here again...if only for that amazing seafood tower!

In 2010 Judy and Mark opened Honu Seafood & Pizza 20 feet away from Mala Ocean Tavern. A quintessential seafood eatery which has a fully unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean with 10 feet from waters edge.
We went early and had a lovely seat beside the water. Our server, Airica, guided us through the menu with some great suggestions for our dietary needs. We enjoyed the large prawn cocktails, and the mushroom pizza, which was out of this world delicious (with extra cheese.) We enjoyed a chocolate cake dessert to top off a great evening. We will definitely return.

Stopped by this restaurant, Beach side grill for happy hour and must say what a great surprise. We arrived at 2:45 and happy hour started at 3:00. We waited about 15 minutes for seating but they gave us unobstructed ocean view seating. They had live music outside so that was the reason for choosing the beachside grille versus the dining inside. Food was great, I had the fish of the day and my wife had coconut shrimp and reasonably priced. Service was good as the drinks were refilled promptly. The crowd was really into the band which played the entire time we were there. Would recommend the beach side grille for happy hour. Great time and memorable moment on Maui.

First visit to Azeka's. We had always wanted to try but hadn't gotten around to it. They have a large menu. Most people get it to go because they only have a bar to sit at and a few outdoor tables. It was very warm inside with no air. The staff were very helpful and our food came out pretty quickly. The lemon chicken with capers, rice and grilled vegetables was really wonderful. Thanks for a good meal.

I wouldnât return. There was nothing truly awful about this restaurant but then again there was nothing good about it either. First the service was slow and unprofessional. Our server hardly checked on us and while he was friendly to us he berated other staff right in front of us and entire restaurant and was completely unapologetic about it. Letâs get to the food. I appreciate that they offer the impossible burger for and one in our party enjoy her fish special enough to eat the entire meal (hence the 2.5 rating). Everything else was pretty Meh. They offer almost nothing gluten free. You can get plain fish(boring) or a lettuce wrapped burger. There are no gf pasta options, the pasta with kale would have been so yummy with a zucchini noodle (so easy to do!!!), no gf bun either. Plus they wonât cook your burger your way. My lettuce wrapped burger came out very very well done it was so tough it was hard to chew. Couldnât even get half of it down. Overall disappointed in our visit. I canât imagine this restaurant will last much longer without some major changes.

We were at Montage with friends and planned one very special dinner as a celebration. My husband handled reservations and I have to say that he did a great job. The table we sat at had a beautiful view overlooking the resort and ocean. Ariel was our server and she could not have been more friendly, she was excellent at her work too. We went for seafood of course, weâre in Hawaii after all. What they x all fish of the moment was super fresh and tasted amazing. I think it was a fish called Onagas. A few ordered meat, steaks and a pork chop, amaaaaazing. My husband chose a Kobe that just melted in your mouth. Our friend Matt had a filet mignon and that was wonderful too. Some of the best salads you can find and we are told that all produce is grown locally. Desserts came out on a platter and it blew us away, chocolate overload, not complaining :)Thanks Ariel.Aloha,Thank you for your review on TripAdvisor. We are delighted to know Ariel's exceptional service elevated your special dinner celebration. We hope to welcome you back soon.Warmest aloha,Anthony FredaResort Manager

I would recommend an early dinner here so you can enjoy the view. There is a happy hour that has a lot to offer that ends at 4:30. We ate at a more normal dinner time and enjoyed food and the service.

We arrived on Maui in the afternoon, checked into our hotel and made our way to Sansei Sushi for our first meal. It did not disappoint. I had read to be in line 15 minutes before opening time. If you have reservations, stand in the line to the right, if you donât stand in the line to the left. We did have reservations and got right in. We wanted to do the happy hour which is 25% off. Be prepared to order quick though. You only have a certain window to get your food ordered. We had a number of dishes and all were fantastic. Butter fish and calamari were standouts. Their Flying Fish Roe/Tobiko Nigiri was a dream come true! (pic attached).A wonderful way to start our weeklong magical stay in Maui!Aloha and mahalo for taking the time to post your excellent review and comments. We appreciate them very much. And we appreciate you choosing Sansei for the start of your Maui vacation!

Enjoyed the wonderful view and loved that we could walk from our place in Napili Gardens. Reservations are a must. Server kind to suggest a half portion each of the delicious diver scallops with creamed corn and fish of the day as I couldnât decide between the two. That was perfect!
