We were off a cruise ship and looking for lunch. This restaurant looked interesting, and gave us a very friendly greeting. We ordered two pints of Harpoon Ale, and decided to share a lobster roll and fries. Very tasty and made a nice light lunch. Michelle R did a great job looking after us.

A group of four friends visited Joâs for a midweek casual dinner. It was a very good experience. They were offering three course off-season midweek Specials Menu selections for a very reasonable price and we all indulged. Each of us was very pleased with our meal. Drinks were large, wine offered with the Special menu was very good, not swill. Desserts were part of the deal and also above average.Service was professional and fun, the place was crowded by the time we left. Jo has clearly drawn an enthusiastic following to her restaurant, and was at the door all evening greeting regulars. We will be back.

We came here wanting an informal al fresco meal heavy on the lobster. We got it. My wife had a whole lobster while I opted for the lobster bisque and a lobster roll. We loved it all and the staff was excellent.

Our menu of snacks, small and large plates changes daily, capturing the best seasonal ingredients. Enjoy scenic views on historic Bannister's Wharf. Award winning cocktails and wine list.
Went to the Fluke Newport on a Saturday night, was able to get a reservation on a crowded night. The place was clean and the hostess was attentive and helpful. The Swordfish was fresh and had just the right amount of seasoning. Also romesco sauce was excellent.Would recommend .

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday dinner recently while vacationing in Newport. We had late reservations (9:15 pm), but we felt unrushed and relaxed the entire time even when everyone else had gone. The service was impeccable and the food was amazing. I had the filet, which was cooked perfectly, and bf had the rigatoni bolognese which was made with lamb and he loved it! Wine suggestions were made and appreciated as well. It was dark out so we did not get to see the view, however we opted to sit inside the cozy dining room anyway so that was fine. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant if you are ever in Newport and want a delicious fine dining experience in a beautiful restaurant. Thanks Trisha! We are thrilled we could be part of your Newport birthday celebration and happy to hear you both enjoyed. We are honored to have earned your recommendation and hope you come back soon. You need to see our view too! Gratefully, Dan Fischer General Manager

Cute, pub atmosphere. Has friendly home-town feeling. However, our last experiences over several years have been frustrated by mediocre service. Our last one wasn't any better but we were hit with a mandatory service charge of 20%, Don'e mind tipping for good service but object to it when service is less than professional.Kitchen as good as ever, if only the service matched it in quality.

Longtime fan, but dinner today was lackluster and poorly done.Very disappointed. Had the charcuterie which was not properly done. Everything had obviously been chilled in the fridge for way too long. Cold cheeses, no breads just cheap crackers, cheap meats. Caesar salad was tasteless. Wedge salad was mediocre and pork tenderloin was dull. The place was pretty empty but serve was incredibly slow, taking an hour to be served. The one bright spot was the hostess who was very accommodating. Sad to see this place get so big and lose good food. I will not be bringing guests here anymore.

Residing inside the historic Agassiz Mansion built in 1875, The Dining Room at Castle Hill Inn has been the backdrop of memorable occasions for over a century. The Forbes Four Star restaurant boasts a prix fixe menu showcasing the talents of Chef Lou Ross
We had a party of 5 attend lunch at Castle Inn. The service was disappointing, we had to ask multiple times for things, the waitress was very soft spoken and in the crowded room we were in it was very hard to hear her. There were fruit flies or gnats of some sort I felt we were swatting through the whole lunch, and we were inside. We were not impressed by the food selection, very limited. And some people did not enjoy their meals. The soups were not hot, the flavoring seemed bland especially on the lobster roll. For the price we paid we had far higher expectations. You are clearly paying for the location and view. We had drinks on the lawn after lunch, and that was almost worth the price we paid for the disappointing lunch. I would highly recommend eating somewhere else then going here to enjoy a drink on the lawn, gorgeous setting.

I like the area of Mariner Sq. as there are a few nice places to choose from here. This restaurant has one of the largest menu selections in the area and so something for everyone. I really like the steaks and they are always done to perfection. Now the prices are a bit higher than some of the others in the area however with the great quality it is well worth the extra dollar or two. The service was a bit on the slow side but we were not in a rush and the waitstaff itself was very nice and polite. I think the kitchen may have been backed up a bit.not enough to make it a problem. My wife had a fish dish (she always does) and she said it was perfect. Everything was very fresh, came out hot, and was plated to perfection. We go here at least once every summer and always are well treated and like it very much. A good place to stop.
