Rollinâ Tide is always a focal point of our familyâs annual visit to Port Aransas. Itâs always set up perfectly for our 14-15 person group, the food is amazing, itâs all wonderful and something we look forward to year after year. This year we added the margarita machine and it was wonderful! Our host/server is always so very kind and professional and excellent! I skim their website and they are adding cool things everyday to make the experience more special. We are so glad we found them!

Took an extended weekend trip to Port Aransas to unwind on the beach. Wanted to patronize the local businesses still recovering from Hurricane Harvey in 2017. This one came recommended by the local "things to do" book. Fantastic food, all reasonably priced. Wide selection of top shelf tequila, including the high quality Reposado grade. Also offers fresh catch seafood at market prices. Fresh made-at-table guacamole was delicious.

We went with a somewhat large group of 8. This is a small place but they accommodated us out on their patio. Frankly I don't like it outside as it feels closed in with lattice work and vines. If it was more open it would be better. Anyway, we came for the food and they didn't disappoint. Our group had a mix of burgers, crab cakes, oysters and shrimp. Honestly it all looked great and everyone was happy with their choice. No booze here but you can walk next door to the liquor store and get whatever you want. That's a big plus if you want wine which is up charged quite a bit at restaurants. A friend of mine bought a 6 pack of beer next door and the restaurant gave the a bucket with ice to put it in. So just remember, you go here for the food, not the ambiance.

I would think if you want a special evening, a splurge, or celebration dinner, there can be no better restaurant in Port A than Venetian Hot Plate. Authentic delicious gourmet Italian food and wine in an unassuming location in Port Aransas, TX. Lovely ambiance, upscale, warm friendly service..not inexpensive, but worth it. This was our first trip to PortA, so little to compare withEach in our party had something different from seafood to filet mignon to pasta...all were excellent. Desserts also wonderful. Will definitely return if in the area. Be aware there is a 3% surcharge for using credit card, cash preferred. Reservations recommended.

With 76 entrees and salads, Texas A1 Steak and Seafood is sure to have what you crave. Having 2 locations serving Corpus Christi and Portland, a scrumptious meal is never far away.
The portions were huge but everything was tasteless. The fish was breaded in cornmeal and nothing else. Same with the shrimp, tasteless. The stuffed crab had excellent flavor and was probably the best part of the meal. They give an abundance of fries to fill you up so it seems like you are getting your moneys worth. We went at lunchtime on a Friday and it was busy with locals and construction workers. With that said, we had THE worst table in the place. Don't be seated by the pie display unless you want hundreds of people shoving themselves past you coming/going and the servers carrying food trays above your head. I couldn't even move my elbow to eat without it jabbing a person passing by!
We ate here, for the 1st time, last Saturday night. The food was delicious. Our party had the seafood platter, coconut shrimp, fried fish & calamari. The salad bar was very fresh and my husband said the fried oysters were the best that heâs ever had. We will definitely be back.

So we went again. Our fist time was amazing. 2nd not so. Were seated and handed a paper menu... Thought oh no and was right.Lobster bisque tasted sour and there was no Lobster chunks in it this time. There was no shrimp and grits on this menu all just fried not very tempting items, so I went with the black and blue po-boy mistake. The bread was hard the fish with blackend, but had so much blue cheese on top of it that you couldn't taste the fish at all there was no vegetables on it at all no nothing. The smoked fish dip that we loved with the fresh crisp chips well this time it didn't taste so fresh didn't taste very smoked at all and those chips are now store bought it was such a disappointment we won't go back.

Came for lunch. Canal, marina activity, and sea birds made for good entertainment. I ordered the fish sandwich on a sourdough roll. I had the fish fried and it was super fresh and crispy. Sourdough roll was perfect with the fish. Came with tomato, pickles, onion, and iceberg lettuce to garnish. The lettuce was torn into small pieces which rendered it useless, but the sandwich didn't suffer. It came with one side and I chose the mixed salad. Great lunch and wonderful ambiance. Service was perfunctory.

Having missed The Big Fisherman for many years, we crossed the ferry from Port Aransas within hours of hearing about this offspring. We are so glad we did. Although we live 400 miles away, we expect to be back, and we have already alerted family members who will feel the treat as much as we.The Fisherman's Daughter is welcoming; âcongenialâ was my wife's word. We liked the coastal ambiance and, oh, the food! Both of us had the delicious broiled platter with flounder (a $3 upgrade), shrimp, scallops, and crab cake. The coleslaw and the baked potato were additional elements of nostalgia.Dawn was our energetic, delightful server; at least two other staff persons helped her and checked on us.Reasonable prices stand in strong contrast to exalted tabs along or near the water. We could be regulars.
