Every summer we spend in our family house nearby âles belles dâIrusâ is our favorite place for pre-dinner drinks and for the wonderful seafood: oysters, winkles, clams and all sorts of appetizers. Philippe and Paul (and the staff) are always kind. The facility offers an awesome view of the âgolfe du Morbihanâ...

We happened to pass by later in the lunch hour and were drawn to the cute patio. We asked if they had room and they said no so we started walking away when the owner came after us and said they had a table. This type of thing rarely happens in France. The vibe was like being at your grandmas house- from decoration to how friendly everyone was. We all ordered fish dishes that were simple, fresh and full of flavor. I mentioned how much I loved my lunch atleast 5 times while eating. Desserts are home made and they have fun champagne cocktails. I will make a point of coming back to Vannes so I can eat here again. Hello ElysiaThank you very much for you kind review, we hope to see you again soon... Isabelle, Yann and Team

While the location overlooking the harbor is magnificent, and the meals were very nicely prepared and presented, the staff is very snooty and pretentious. Perhaps they are trying to emulate the adjacent Michelin noted establishment. The waitress tried hard to upsell, and seemed disappointed when the order was not expansive enough.

This restaurant has always been at the "pretty basic" end of the scale: Galettes, Crocque Monsieur, etc, etc. Good tasty food, relatively cheap and no pretensions. It has clearly undergone a transformation under new management/ ownership. The menu is much more sophisticated but the ambiance still relaxed and the service good. We liked it as it was but like this make-over even better. If you have visited before this year come back and try the new version, I believe you will be pleasantly surprised. It is, of course, rather more expensive than it was but still mid-range.

The setting is quite simple, overlooking the water, so needs good weather. The service is considerate and interested in their products. Limited seafood but of the highest quality and so fresh. The oysters were plump and super fresh, the stuffed clams perfect and the stuffing did not disguise their lovely fresh taste. The bread is wholesome and rustic. The price is reasonable. The nearby area provides some pleasant walks. A gem.

Since 1935 the Creneguy family have worked tirelessly to offer you the best oysters the Golfe du Morbihan. In 2017, the 5th generation opened the oyster bar « Chez Lucien » (an hommage to their great grand father). With panoramic views of the Gulf & Larmor

Open april to september.
As might be expected, the small harbour boulevard is crammed with cheap fast-food restaurants where tourists envisaging to explore the island in a few hours can get a quick bite. For a somewhat better meal, walking a little farther to San Francisco (Hotel and Restaurant) is worth the trouble. On a sunny day the palm-tree covered terrace offers a view of the Morbihan Gulf. The menu is varied and daily specialties are suggested on large slates. We were a little disappointed by the appetizers, presumably lobster nems. Not only were there just two small ones of them per serving, but they were filled with more red beet than lobster. We had expected better for the price. The other dish (bream fillets on a bed of spinach) was well presented and served with great friendliness. The seafood platters (on our neighbours' table) looked impressive as well.

Nothing, but really nothing to say than more than 5 stars. Perfect Sea Food, very good wine assortment, fantastic price niveau. Every time again.
