It is crawfish season and Wilson's is serving up them hot and spicy ... they are prices at market rate with a 3 lb minimum order and 2 potatoes and a half ear of corn is extra but is worth it to fill out the meal. There are hush puppies, coleslaw, beans, onions and pickled tomatoes tat come with the meal ... Great meal and left stuffed and content. The also had a live band on the patio when we visited.

Was working across the street at Barksdale AFB and we decided to hit Sam's again for lunch. Had the 6 piece grilled shrimp at it was excellent! Great meal as always. A must stop if you are in the area.

This place is really amazing. The historical decor number one. The staff is friendly and fast. Our server Brook kept coming back and making sure we were pleased and with a great smile on her face. My husband got a cup of etouffee to start. I was SO delicious and meaty and thick. I have the spice beef and pork meat pies. Oh so good. Especially with the zesty mustard sauce. We split a plate because in not a big eater. We had the shrimp and catfish plate with dirty rice. The portions were huge. What I mostly liked was how the this large shrimp was tender, tasty and with just a right amount of breading. The catfish was also impressively delicious. We washed it down with 2 ice cold Coronas. It made our evening. We were so stuffed. This will be our routine place to go when going to Shreveport.

We wanted fish and found the fried filets meaty and filling. The salad bar is average, hush puppies and slaw good, but the shrimp and fish were very good! Steaks around us looked and smelled delicious as well.

Picked this restaurant for lunch from Trip Advisor reviews. The food choice was amazing. The meals chosen were delicious and our waitress was fantastic. The only complaint is our food being served too fast. We received our salad then before we had even applied our dressing the main course was delivered to our. I prefer to have my salad first then the main course come afterwards. Most of us do. Not a big complaint, just a pet peeve of mine. Over all, all was great.

Just passing through and got gas actress the street, but couldnât help but notice all the action at the restaurant across the streetâ truck after car after truck with people of all ages and walk of life. I had to check it out... WOW! Crawfish, crawfish meat pies, crab cakes smothered in Cajun yummies, boudin, hush puppies... gumbo out of this world. Stop now and taste. Picnic table like decor but kickinâ food!

The service was exceptionally friendly, the atmosphere fantastic and the food to match! Their piano bar is a huge added value to the restaurant and highly recommend this place for special occasions or family events. The management coming around to as how we were doing was also a really nice touch.

we had seafood gumbo, large was more than ample serving. it came with crackers , but you can purchase a large piece of homemade cornbread to go with it. It was cajun spicy with lots of shrimp and sausage in a louisiana roux. great service , very reasonable price friendly fast service and clean restrooms.
Very disappointed, and doubt we will ever return. Nothing compared to the old Kellyâs that was at that location. Inside all open like a cheap cafe. Food was very overpriced, with nothing special to offer. Bowl of seafood gumbo had a total of two shrimp in it, with nothing else. Not even served with crackers, and maybe a teaspoon of rice. In fact had to look for the rice. Fried fish was very small pieces. Way overpriced. With the open area to the kitchen, you can hear the staff all cutting up in the kitchen.

I give these crawfish 5 stars 90% of the time. I can't blame these folks when the crawfish crop is not at its finest; they can only sell what's avalable. I highly suspect any 1 or 2 star ratings are plants from the competition. Anyone who eats crawfish regularly can tell you, these are some very good bugs. We don't hesitate to bring south Louisiana folk here. They love it, too. Now, as far as the facility...it's kinda rough. I highly recommend avoiding the restrooms if at all possible. There is no central a/c or heating, But if you can find a spot under a fan after dark in the summer, or under a heater in the early season, you'll manage just fine. I don't mind telling you, we enjoy the hubbub. One review said something about the Crawfish Palace being a tourist trap? I had to hoot over that...n'er was a place less touristy...it's the kind of place smart travelers want to eat...where the locals go.
