I was staying with friends in River Ridge for a few days before heading to Baton Rouge for some volunteer work and every time we drove by, they would tell me how good the po' boys at Bobby's Seafood were. One day, my friend came down with stomach flu two days before their Krewe's ball so that day, I walked over for a po' boy.Bobby's is a local deli with only a small 3-table dining area inside that serves po' boys at very reasonable prices so I ordered a dressed fried catfish po' boy from the counter. The catfish was fried with a deft touch rendering it crispy outside, moist inside, and without being oily; a little ketchup and hot sauce and I demolished the sandwich. You can't beat Leidenhemer bread as the perfect delivery system for po' boys. The same catfish po' boy that cost $6.50 at Bobby's would be $10 in other parts of New Orleans and the staff were really nice. to the many neighborhood residents, construction crews, and parents with kids who stopped by to eat here. Bobby's Seafood is a great local find.

This is a NOLA classic with perfect service and perfect food. We had a reservation and were seated right away despite it being crowded. The drinks were perfect and the started came quick and were some of the best. The Red Fish was perfectly prepared and I even enjoyed some bread pudding. We even saw the Manning's!

A roadside watering hole with great food! Open seven days a week at 11am. Great lunch specials during the week and live music every Friday and Saturday night.
This is a local establishment located right across the street from the river. It's a short drive from downtown NOLA. First and foremost, you must come here on a Monday to get the red beans and rice. We've managed to visit here twice now and on a Monday just for this dish. My hubby got the special cheeseburger and it was delicious. The appetizer of Fried Green Tomatoes is not to be missed. It's a large enough serving for 2-3 people. They are HUGE and delicious. I've not had anything but the red beans and rice, but I am sure everything on the menu is delicious. We cannot wait to visit again.

If I lived nearby I would be a regular. Super friendly staff. The food is outstanding. This day I had the Boudin Balls and Seafood Gumbo. The Boudin Balls were very good. The Seafood Gumbo is special among the best I have ever eaten.

Oh my goodness! This is our new favorite when going to New Orleans. We always make sure to eat at Crabby Jacks in Jefferson before leaving the area. Plentiful seafood in every poboy. The food is always fresh, the staff is friendly and it is always clean!

Took my parents here for dinner, we're all from out of town. The restaurant was very busy but we still received excellent service from Errol and the whole crew. The food was great, every item was delicious. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Stopped at Heads and Tails Seafood & Oyster bar after a long day. We arrived around 5 pm and had no wait. Our waiter stopped to introduce himself as he passed by and came right back for our drink orders. He also took our appetizer order and told us we were still in time for "Happy Hour"! If I don't see anything that I know that I will love I typically order Fried Shrimp -- a staple hard to mess us. But, on a whim, I went out of my comfort zone and ordered the Pasta Barbara. When it arrived, I was disappointed it was in a "red" cream sauce but I was pleasantly surprised. Two nicely fried rounds of eggplant on a bed of shrimp fettuccini was really good. My husband got a dozen oysters and a pan seared redfish over HUGE asparagus!!! BONUS to the waiter for keeping our tea glasses full!!!

Seitherâs is a very unique seafood restaurant in Harahan. Besides some delicious traditional boiled and fried seafood there are many unique dishes that are cooked with a non traditional spin. Some of these include a fried green tomato BLT with remoulade poboy, blackened shrimp and avocado poboy and the seafood volcano. Even the roast beef poboy is surprisingly good.
