Denk
We had an excellent culinary evening at this newly opened quality restaurant in a nice location. G7 serves excellent food with a diverse variety of wines. The G7 menu is the recommended choice which is a surprise menu with great variation in meat and fish with some unusual dishes. The chef plays a lot with sweet and sour accents. The wines complement the dishes. Personally I feel the quality of the surprising wines are above average. The restaurant is run by the owners of the Kolentip, and it shows in the quality of the food and wine. Just make a reservation, but make sure to plan enough time to enjoy the meal. You will not regret it!

My business colleague & I were deep in discussions at the local office when he noticed the time and realised that we were seriously late for the lunch reservation he had made at De Lindeboom. However, after a quick, apologetic phone call and a dash in the car to the centre of Beek we were soon installed in the light conservatory style part of this delightful establishment. Our tardiness was not an issue in the slightest. The reception of the waiter was professional, friendly and I loved the way that he switched effortlessly between perfect English (with that special quaint Dutch accent) and Dutch. Having ordered our non-alcohoic drinks (yes, unusual for me I know but I had to drive later that afternoon), we took the decision to go for the 45 minute, 2 course set lunch. This was an excellent choice! After nibbling at the hors d'oeuvres (including bread in a paper bag...), we were soon tucking into a light salad with thinly sliced cooked beef and a sort of tomato relish. This was followed by game in a sauce containing wild mushrooms. I didn't get the full description, but suffice it to say that it was delicious. Within the promised 45 minutes we were sipping our post lunch coffees and enjoying the small chocolates. The whole experience was wonderful. I have the impression that my host will be here more often and I do hope that he'll invite me again.

The entry for the Mandarin features a small koi pond. The dining room includes well-spaced tables with high-quality linens and traditional Chinese artwork. It was a very pleasant place to dine with friends. Our group elected to have the Indonesian Rijstafel, which consisted of more than a dozen small dishes of various meats and vegetables with tasty sauces; and rice or bami (noodles) upon which to place all of these. The dishes were good although none of them were truly outstanding. I've had rijstafels a number of times and this one leaned more towards a Chinese interpretation of the Indonesian cuisine than other rijstafels I've eaten, but it was still quite acceptable. (In my experience, there are few standalone Indonesian restaurants in The Netherlands; mostly one encounters Chinese-Indonesian restaurants, where the authenticity of the Indonesian offerings varies considerably.)While he didn't hover, our server refilled our drinks quickly and was attentive to our other needs.Altogether, the Mandarin presents an attractive package for those dining in. If you are looking for the ultimate in Chinese or Indonesian food quality and authenticity for take-out, I would probably go elsewhere. But if you are in the mood for decent food in a nice atmosphere with excellent service, the Mandarin is a solid choice.

We visit this restaurant, wich we new from the past, with our Greek friends who came for a short holiday. Maybe it was the day, a tuesday or the time, between 18.00 and 20.00 our, not many people in the restaurant. It looks like there was no chef in the house, anyway it tokes an hour to get the food on the tabel. The food was average, but it looks like we had to pay the bill for an empty place. Shure we payed some things double. We maked our complaines to the owner, and with excuses and a ugly face he blamed his staff for the mistakes, but he was the one who has make the bill. We visit this restaurant many, many times before. With family, with friends and with sportteams in the past. We will never go back there.

A setup with a wide choice and variety of food to hand over to the chefs, who will fry it for you with a sauce of your liking. The food offered is good and fresh. There is a choice of three soups, several fried items like cuttlefish, fish, meatballs, fries etcetera. On top of that a small sushi section and salad bar. For desert there is a good variety of fruit, cakes and ice creams with decorations. Good value for money. A bit more original oriental taste would be appreciated.

Small but nice and cozy living room decorated "eatcafe" on restaurant level. About thirty seatings for dinner, drinks only limited if there is a free table or on reservation for whisky lovers. Over 550 whisky's in stock, expert advice is always possible!
This restaurant is located in a side street of the central market place. But boy, is this a place to take a short stroll to. First of all, the reception. Very hearthy and open. Then, of course, there's the gargantuan number of whisk(e)ys on offer, most of them for very decent prices. And the owner gives excellent advice. Last but not least: the food is excellent. Extras for those who speak Dutch/Flemish: the interesting items posted in the toilets.Thank you so much for your fantastic review Pascal! Maybe someday, I will find some time to translate, next to our menu (already in English), also the toilet-items into English.

A friend invited me for dinner and we had a great starter of octopus! Well decorated, soft and delicious. Staff is friendly. Menu is in Greek and Dutch. But ask the staff to explain in English. The place is crowded since it is one of the best Greek restaurants in Netherlands.
