Find out what Seafood restaurants to try in Fleetwood. Fleetwood is a town and civil parish within the Wyre district of Lancashire, England, lying at the northwest corner of the Fylde. It had a population of 25,939 people at the 2011 census. The site of the town has been continuously inhabited since the Middle Ages. Fleetwood acquired its modern character in the 1830s, when the principal landowner Peter Hesketh-Fleetwood, High Sheriff and MP, conceived an ambitious plan to re-develop the town to make it a busy seaport and railway spur. He commissioned the distinguished Victorian architect Decimus Burton to design a number of substantial civic buildings, including two lighthouses. Hesketh-Fleetwood's transport terminus schemes failed to materialise. The town expanded greatly in the first half of the 20th century with the growth of the UK fishing industry, and passenger ferries to the Isle of Man to become a deep-sea fishing port.

We ordered pensioners small fish and chips, which comes with tea or coffee, a choice of curry, gravy or mushy peas and bread and butter. The chips etc were good but the fish was very disappointing. A tiny amount of not great fish in a lot of batter, albeit very crispy batter( a bit difficult for older people to crunch through, so we left most of it). At £5.45 each we felt a bit ripped of! Other diners full size fish looked fine. Take my advice and buy a full size fish to share. Staff were friendly and the cafe was pleasant and comfortable.

Fish And Chip Shop
Our normal Fish and Chip eat in establishment in Blackpool, was packed to the rafters 12/10/2019. Decided it was best to go a little off the beaten track, as everywhere decent seemed jam packed; due to the illuminations. Visited this place years ago. Was Ok, wasn't offered the option of the fish being lightly battered. My fish was OK, but husbands was heavily coated. Maybe we should of mentioned it, when ordering. Definitely fresh fish and of decent size. Chips standard, albeit a few eyes in the potatoes. Peas far too dried up. Menu, a bit boring. Could offer more, then again it is just a chippy. Don't get me wrong, I am so fussy. Noticed on departing that from Mon-Friday they do the same as what we got for £6.75 each. As it was a Saturday. During those times bill would of been £13.50 instead of over £18. We normally go to Trip Advisors Number 1 Fish and Chip eat in Blackpool. Kay's in Cleveleys is a decent meal, but for the best try our choice that is cheaper and far better like for like.

Weâve been here a few times now, always eating in. The place is spotlessly clean (weâre fussy!) and the staff are polite and attentive. The fish and chips are perfectly cooked and they make a great pot of tea too. The quality is consistently good. Its not pricey either.

Visiting grandchildren in cleveleys I had some time free and went to the oldest pub in Fleetwood, the Steamer. My Grandad must have gone there decades ago when he was a trawler captain. Lively karaoke in the bar. And a nice. Separate restaurant Staff were very welcoming and friendly, service was excellent and the food was great, really lovely. During the meal I was surprised by the restaurants owner, Syd Little, appearing and making a point of talking to everyone. When Syd realised I was from Bristol we had a chat about Eddie, and wishing him very good health.Lovely to meet and chat to someone who entertained and gave me so much pleasure over many years, and the food was lovely. Iâd recommend the restaurant to anyone living in or visiting Fleetwood

Weâve moved to the area quite recently and we thought weâd try the local chippy, we decided to sit in. Itâs a spotless little place, the staff were lovely and the haddock and chips was fantastic not greasy, very fresh we also had tea and bread and butter. £18 worth every penny. Was an early February night when we went and the queue for the take away never stopped.great to think we have such a good chippy on our doorstep.

As we have eaten here before we decided to try the takeaway, not happy as the grilled fish ( one jumbo cod and one jumbo haddock ) arrived looking like flaked fish. It was also just warm. Will give them one more chance

We went here without any knowledge of what to expect. It surprised us greatly. The extensive menu was excellent and the range of fish dishes was superb. Beautifully fresh, cooked and served in a very nice restaurant. Unexpected for Fleetwood. The staff were excellent and the wine list was good. We shall certainly return. I was with a friend. I intend taking my wife next time, she will love it.
