Since we were staying at the hotel, we had dinner twice in the pizzeria. The first evening we dined inside and had a very good meal, inclusive of a carpaccio starter with diced celery, parmesan and rucola. The diced celery added a special crunchiness to this standard Italian starter. The second evening we dined outside, in the very atmospheric courtyard. We had an aperitif, followed by the same starter we ordered previously, only this time the celery was served in thin slices, which did not add the pleasant crunchiness. A slightly annoying inconsistency. Then I had a pasta dish and my husband had a very good pizza. Both times we drank the local Gutturnio wine, of good quality. I much preferred sitting outside, as inside they keep the TV on, which is very annoying. The price is average for the area, definitely not a cheap restaurant. Service was OK, but there is a lot of room for improvement. With such a location this could be a top restaurant, but right now is average.

Having driven past this trattoria for many years during my visits, I decided to stop here recently based on the excellent Tripadvisor reviews. The reviews were not wrong! We stopped at lunchtime and were seated in one of the small dining rooms - other people were in other areas so we had the room to ourselves - private dining in a trattoria. On entering we were welcomed by the friendly owner - id also add that the place is very tastefully newly decorated and spotless. There is a special lunchtime menu ( I think it was around 12 euros ) but we opted for the days' selection. First was a plate of excellent local salamis accompanied but pickled mixed vegetable and fruit ( which was sublime), fresh olive focaccia and bread. Next was a pasta dish of filled tortelli which were again very good. We followed this by a meat course of roast pork, and post roasted beef which melted in my mouth. Fresh panna cotta and chocolate cake completed an excellent meal. Total bill came to just over 60 euros for two.Service was excellent and very professional. For warmer days there is a nice area outside with tables overlooking the wonderful piacentine countryside. I can truly recommend Trattoria della Pesa. It's located about 5 minutes drive outside Carpaneto in a very quite rural hamlet - sat nav useful if you don't know the area.

La Fiaschetteria is a wonderful spot about 1 hour outside Milan. It is a world class restaurant with three adorable rooms. We can highly recommend both. The restaurant is luxurious. The rooms more basic, but filled with local charm. La Fiaschetteria is a 1 puff Michelin restaurant, and it deserves its rating. The restaurant itself is comfortable, the service professional, and the food quite simply sublime - while focusing on the local product of the area. On top of all that, given its proximity to Milan, it is quite a deal. Highly recommended.

Love this restaurant, I have been several times and always had a wonderful meal. The owner & staff are most attentive and the menu, although not vast, has fresh, local produce & an excellent wine list. Quite pricey, but well worth the visit.

On the way from Piacenza to Modena we stopped at random next to a modestly appearing restaurant open on Sunday afternoon. It is a very elegant, new place with style. Perfect restrooms. We had prosciuto, bread and coffee and one small glasss of wine. The waiting was very gentle but also on the pushy side after all. We consumed little and paid 25 E.

Ate here a couple of times already, the place entirely deserves its Michelin star! Inventive menu based on local products, attentive service by Lucy, extremely good price/quality relation, 6 courses (plus the usual extras) for 60-70 euros, cozy context directly in the house of the chef who shows accomplished tecniques and some very original ideas. Good wine selection with very honest pricing. Definitely one of the best restaurant in the zone!

Excellent atmosphere. Sitting outside on a summer's evening feeling quite relaxed. Found this place via Trip Advisor. Off the beaten track but well worth the visit.

Adjoint to the hotel where we stayed, this served acceptable traditional first and second courses from the Fiorenzuola - Piacenza area, including "pisarei e fasò" fresh pasta with beans sauce, and ravioli. Service was relatively slow for an evening with three or four tables full at the most, and prices high, with a light and nondescript dinner for two at almost 50 Euro.

This is the second indipendent review I have written so far about this amazing restaurant. There is no doubt this is the place to be ....to be to eat fresh food with a twist...expecially in this area. It is very difficult to find fresh fish BUT here you can treat yourself with red shrimps tartare or baby squids in a delicious souce with broad and little black beans. Everything combine with excellent wine such as Baron d'L and Souterns. Last but not least...you are welcome with your dog too, no metter the size (of the dog) just be prepered to amuse your best friend with tiny pieces of Culatello and regional salame....for once it can enjoy too!
