My parents used to bring our children here for a treat in the summer in the 80's! It has not changed a bit and the decor, always spotlessly clean and tidy, would now be considered almost vintage. This is not 'fine dining' or 'contemporary', however you can expect beautifully cooked fish and chips. And, a cup of tea and bread and butter if you wish!

Tripadvisor influenced our decision to visit this restaurant in the grim, faded Felixstowe. Right on the seafront , overlooking the pier. Seating upstairs allows the diner to view the 'sights'. Very friendly, efficient service with smart uniformed waitresses. We had fish and chips and scampi and chips. Very well presented and plenty if it. The chips are cooked in beef dripping (fat) which you can taste in the chips. Nice home cooked flavour. Reasonably priced fare. Extensive fish based menu

The redefined brasserie is located on the first floor of the completely modernised 1860 listed building in historic Harwich. Experience all-day dining (all-year-round) and outdoor dining - whenever the sun shines - with a menu celebrating modern classics,
Enjoyed a very pleasant meal here on a quiet Monday evening. A separate vegetarian and vegan Menu is available as the main menu has limited options in that department. Whilst the options were limited they are imaginative and there was enough variation to offer a good choice of options. Service was good and attentive. excellent range of gins as well. Definitely a fine dining venue and quite expensive but the perfect place to a treat.

Situated on Ha'penny Pier with stunning views. A wonderful spot for al fresco dining and on those cooler days the ideal place for a great breakfast, bowl of homemade soup or coffee and cake. Harwich is full of hidden gems waiting to be discovered. The Caf
A lovely cafe which was doing a roaring trade on this sunny August day. They have a few indoor tables and more outside, overlooking the LV18 lightship, sadly closed due to extreme temperatures below decks on the day we visited. Quaint historic pier with views over the Stour estuary. We had the all day breakfast (one veggie and one standard) which was served promptly and with a smile by the friendly and cheerful staff. They have quite a wide menu for the size of the cafe, including salads, fish, ploughmanâs, sandwiches, lasagne, jacket potatoes and toasties. Would definitely recommend if you are visiting the north east end of Harwich.

Modern steakhouse and seafood restaurant, selling premium quality dry aged steak, gourmet burgers and fresh lobster.
A cosy well decorated restaurant with seating upstairs with a view of the sea. Free parking right outside after 6pm.. Friendly waitresses who attended to us straight away. I had the chicken and mushrooms. The sauce had so much flavour. I could of done with abit more in a small pot as one portion of chicken was slightly dry but still tasty.. Ice cream and brownie for dessert that turned out to be chocolate cake but we still ate it. We loved the smooth music in the background which was on at a level that we could still hear our conversation. I would recommend this restaurant to friends and family. We had a lovely evening there.

Ground floor Café Bar, breakfasts, meals, snacks, fresh coffees, cakes, full range of bar drinks. Heated patio overlooking promenade and sea. First floor Brasserie (lift access), full a la carte menu plus set lunch menu available noon to 6pm Mon-Fri. Pano
Our group ordered a veggie burger and an ordinary burger. They were tiny and came without chips or salad. The meat in the ordinary burger wasnât great. When you order a burger, you expect a nice, hearty, filling, inexpensive treat. Not at this place. It is a pity because the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and a nice location. We gave feedback - I really hope they get their act together for their burgers, because the restaurant could be so pleasant.

Winner of 2017 Best Fish And Chips Restaurant In United Kingdom Fresh fish in beef dripping or lovely seabass , seabream , salmon cooked on charcoal grill
Well I don't know where to start.... Absolutely shocked by the behaviour of the manager/ owner or whatever is he. Visited today with my partner and two children. Firstly was told by him that that we couldn't order drinks first and that we needed to order it all together with the food ( it was boiling hot out today and we had a very thirsty 2 and 8 year old). Eventually he let us order drinks while we looked at the menu.Meal was okay..... But spoke to a young waitress and mentioned that there was peas missing off of one of the meals. She said she would get.... Anyway they never turned up and we finished our meals .... I mentioned it again when they cleared our plates but said not to worry as we'd finished now. The rude manager then stormed over and instead of apologising he started bad mouthing the poor waitress..... Saying this was not her first mistake today and he was taking money out of her wages. I felt terrible for her ...... When I went to pay at the till he came over to take the money. To cut a long story short I told him that I was not happy for him to take money out of the young girls wages and I was disappointed in the service from him today and how uncomfortable it had made us feel. Well omg he flipped out at me!..... Snatched my card from me.... Said he didn't care about my opinion and said 'look at my busy restaurant, I don't care about you and your thoughts. I have lots of customers!' I told him he should never speak to customers this way.... He just laughed..... After I had paid he pointed to my family standing down by the door and Said..... (AND THIS IS THE WORST BIT THAT IM STILL IN TOTAL SHOCK ABOUT) 'look at your horrible little family, look at your horrible little children'. I think the reality of how Vile this man is did not hit me till after we had left. How dare he! I'm still shocked! How dare he speak to people in that way. Reading other reviews on this place I can see others have had problems with this man (if that's what you can even call him) It seems his disgusting attitude has been picked up on by many people. It's such a shame.... I've been here many times in the past. Presumably before he took it on. The staff are terrified of him. You can see by their poor faces. I read one review in here that he has answered back to the complaint..... By threatening to phone up the person's work and complain about them back. JUST WOW! Totally shocking!!!
