The Boatyard is where local sailors, fishermen and lovers of the Chesapeake enjoy pint drinks, great crab cakes and the freshest local seafood. Specialties include smoked fish of the day (on premise), cream of crab and Maryland crab soups and an extensive
We visited the Boatyard Bar and Grill about a week ago. The bar has happy hour specials ($1 oysters) and was crowded at the time, although we were able to find seats. The service is fine, beer selections good, and there was a nice atmosphere - everybody having a good time. We stayed for dinner (FYI, no reservations) and had their crabcake dinner. Market price was $34. The cakes had lots of fresh, flavorful crab and were so large, we brought two home with us and had them the next day. I would definitely recommend and return.

This would have been a 5 star review but for a heavy handed rosemary seasoning to the veal saltimboca.Apps were delicious, perfectly grilled calamari on arugula and a shared antipasto platter.Entrees matched as well ex. for the veal....good but overpowered by rosemary. Vongole linguine, halibut and an unique pasta with broccolini and tortellini with mushroom, shallots speck and parmesan sauce all were excellent. Portions sized perfectly; service very helpful and accommodating for any changes requested. Wine list heavy on Italian as expected with many options priced at reasonable markups. Very good bread accented with evo was enjoyed by all esp. our toddler. We'll plan to return when visiting soon.Atmosphere was attractive, open style and noise level well under control.
Most of us know snow cones for the shaved ice with syrup on top. The ices served at Rita's are completely different--a frozen confection with the flavor throughout, in lots of fruit favors. Some are natural, with bits of fruit mixed into the ice. A real treat. Nothing more refreshing on a summer's day. And fortunately: the ice keeps well in the freezer. We are regulars!

Saw multiple tables with crab feasts. We had crab cakes (fresh, very little filler but no real flavor, somehow), salmon (nice pineapple glaze) on fresh (not frozen) spinach and fried shrimp basket. Prices were cheap.Good: many selections, reasonable prices, clean bathrooms. Room for improvement: wait staff didn't put in our app order and didn't tell us all available sides; mashed potatoes arrived cold while everything else piping hot; side salad was iceberg lettuce and coleslaw had weird color and no flavor. You decide: busy bar section, pool table and juke box available, smoking outside.
We had guacamole to start and the seafood soup as a main course. Both were very good. The seafood soup was enormous, with calamari, fish, mussels, shrimp and scampi. I had few expectations and was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. They have a very limited wine selection at the bar, but the bottle we ordered was fine. Service was very friendly and prompt. I'll be back.

The chef always puts on quite a show for the 10-or-so people gathered around each grill. If your group has a smaller number, you'll be seated with others, which works out fine. You can order sushi or non-tempanyaki items too. I had shrimp tempura with vegetables and it was perfect. Another in our group had tempura crab, which also got raves. Tempanyaki dinners come with extras like noodles and grilled vegetables, so there is often some to take home.

This restaurant has an amazing view of a river, bridge, and marina. The restaurant was also clean, bright, and decorated with fun nautical accents. There are multiple levels of decks for patrons, which makes me think that itâs probably a great place for drinks at night or events.Hubby and I had just arrived in Maryland to visit with friends. We saw news reports of it being a great crab season this year and we were looking forward to trying the local crabs. I had a crab cake melt (like a tuna melt but with crab cakes) and hubby asked to have a crab cake added to a burger. Our food was average - good, but not mind blowing. We suspect that the crab meat was not fresh. It tasted like it had been canned or frozen. So the food was a disappointment. That being said, our waitress was friendly and attentive! We felt well taken care of.

Family Owned & Operated Since 1958, Mike's Restaurant & Crabhouse is located Overlooking the Scenic South River. Serving Maryland Style Seafood including Steamed Blue Crab. We have a Full Menu available. Large Inside Dining Room, Canopy Covered Outside Se
Stopped in for crabs and Mike didn't disappoint. Service was friendly and quick. The crabs were big and meaty and seasoned just right. Skip their 'famous Maryland crab soup'. It should be called, ''famous Maryland soup'' as we struggled to find any crab. Just a few bits and pieces. Otherwise, a good night.

My husband and I both found the Edgewater Restaurant to be a trip back in time -- from the knotty pine paneling, to the okra and stewed tomato vegetable options, to the friendly service and reasonable prices. Nothing much has changed there in decades, and the result is a fantastic lunch special: 1 crab cake + (very good) salad bar + fries for just $13. It's no wonder why there was a steady stream of lunch customers on a Saturday.

I realize that most people go to a happy hour for the drinks, but I go for the food! Yellowfin never disappoints. They have a variety of options to choose from including steamed shrimp, calamari, tuna, Thai shrimp egg rolls, chicken wings, tacos....the list goes on and on! The best thing is that the cost is less that $10 for each happy hour appetizer. By the time you finish sampling various food items, you have had an entire meal and are full. Oh and did I mention that their happy hour is daily! You cannot beat that! Run to Yellowfin today!!!
