We came tonight for my wife's birthday dinner. In April, we had dinner here and we were very impressed with the food and service. Tonight was another excellent experience. We started with fried Calamari and tarragon biscuits. Then, we both ordered the Salt & Barrel Burger. Calamari was just perfection, along with the biscuits. The burgers were probably one of the best we ever had. We skipped dessert, as we were very full. Our server was amazing and gave us incredible service. Honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Another excellent dinner at Salt & Barrel in the books!

Good place for a summers day lunch with friends or family . Food is fresh caught . And cooked to order , we went for Lunch itâs also opened for dinner and there is always a breeze . Eat indoors ( a few tables ) or on the Dock . A very old establishment that has been here since I was a kid . Enjoy

We arrived for lunch around 245 pm. We have our name to the hostess and saw a few empty tables outside and waited. There was much discussion at the hostess podium and other diners were waiting to add their names. We finally were told there was a âproblemâ that they were switching from lunch to dinner so we could not order until 3:15. I said fine we will take our table and order drinks and wait for the dinner menu. The hostess said it would be better for us to just sit at the bar instead since they had a few reservations for dinner coming in. I said no I wanted a table and would order my drinks and wait for the dinner menu at 3:15. We were not seated until 3:40 and no menus were presented until close to 4 pm. We overheard other guests being told no food could be ordered until after 4.

My wife and I kept hearing the radio commercial on our local radio stations. Been meaning to try it.We went early Saturday about 430 just before a show at Westbury. One other couple in there. We started with drinks (during happy hour). My wife had a $18:00 Margarita. Witch did not like. We ordered little necks on the half shell. They were good. Asked the server whet fish was fresh and she recommended. She said the cod. We both ordered it it took almost a half hour it get it. We ate all the bread. It was a piece about 3x3 inch. A little breadcrumbs some kuinoa and a little zucchini. Was tasty but not worth $37.00 each. The check came to $175.00. Weâve eaten in some of the best restaurants in Manhattan and believe me they were worth in. Just because they can charge those prices doesnât mean they should. After all we work hard for our money. Good luck, enjoy, and bring a lot of cash. I wonât be. Sorry

View, located in Oakdale, offers diners top-notch seafood with a breathtaking view of the Great South Bay. The menu consists of small and big plate options, from the land and the sea, as well as a sushi bar.
I probably called at least a dozen places to try to find a place with outdoor seating that took reservations. The View fit the bill. Not only was the food amazing but so was the View! There was live music and even a fireworks show across the bay at Fire Island. I can't wait to go back to try everything on the menu.

Captain Billâs is a waterfront restaurant and catering facility overlooking the Great South Bay. Besides having award winning cuisine in our bar and dining room we host events for groups of 30 up to 250 guests.
Very pretty view from most tables. I had fried scallops that were melt in your mouth tender and delicious. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal also. Service was friendly and good, but we were not in a rush. Just 4 women chatting and enjoying each others company for lunch. They were very accommodating by splitting a sandwich and also a dessert on 2 plates to share.

We went for lunch and ordered the broiled seafood platter and king crabs legs. The seafood tasted very fishy, and was dry. They cut the crab legs in half, and they were dry too. Over priced for the quality of the food. $12.50 for a bowl of soup, and it was ok. Panera Bread has better tasting soup for a quarter of the price. Service was ok. We received our desserts with no forks, and the runner never came back with the forks. Not impressed. They should be serving fresh fish, but it was not good.We would like to thank you for your comments and review on your recent visit to the Snapper Inn and of course are very concerned about your experience and would like to address it immediately. We have been here several times and like it more every time. We brought our elderly mother for brunch and she loved it! We had dinner recently and it was delicious. We have met friends at the bar for drinks and apps and had a great time. The waiters were great; very attentive and aiming to please. We enjoyed all of the food we have sampled so far. We will be back!

Attended a Retirement party for a group of approximately 40 guests in the bar area. Excellent service from wait staff. Food was delicious: hot rolls, wonderful pasta with pesto, tender sliced beef, two loaded salads, perfect salmon and chicken. Desserts of warm chocolate lava cakes as well as delicious cheesecakes. Buffet Lunch was high quality and reminiscent of an excellent sit down dinner. Could not notice that there was also a birthday party being held in an adjacent room. Felt as though we had the restaurant to ourselves. Parking was valet only and unfortunately the valet left an accessory on in my vehicle and drained the battery. No big deal but worth a mention. Special Thanks to the guest that provided a jump start. Very enjoyable and highly recommended.
