The food at Bossman's is good but, unfortunately, the prices are the same that you would pay at an upscale restaurant. I used to like to go here for a hamburger but the prices are prohibitive. It is much cheaper to go to a fast food outlet. Also, do not expect anything other than a very basic interior. Service is fair to say the least. I never had seafood here so I cannot rate that food. I have only had a hamburger.
Nice clean little restaurant with Oysters, Burgers , Hotdogs and more. Normal pricing on there food with small table (booth) area with a oyster bar . There is no " Alcohol " at this restaurant so if you like a beer with your Oysters this is not your place but the sweet tea is very good. They do have a small Fish market when available so call first for Fish market or Oysters.
owners took over a drive in restaurant 30 years ago and left the metal canopy up, but you go inside to a stark but clean place with friendly owners and delicious fresh oysters. I don't need atmosphere when they're this good. Steady flow of locals come thru for the chili dogs, tasty and filling.

We were stranded and needed food that was within walking distance of the car repair shop. I love seafood and Captain D's offers broiled as well as fried. They also offer fresh veggies and other healthier options compared to other fast food companies. I love that I can get broccoli, baked potato, and corn instead of all the heavy fried foods.
I always thought Chick Filet was pretty good with chicken and they are. I tried Gold Fingers and got quite a surprise. The tenders and bigger and cooked actually a little better than Chick Filet I thought. The dipping sauces are very good. The fries are nice big crinkle fries. Alot of times Chick Filet is hard to eat at because of its location in Dothan, Alabama. Usually its swamped with people and has a tiny cramped parking lot thaat is a nightmaare sometmes to get in and out of because of Sam's right there at it as you turn in from the Ross Clark Circle. So when Chick Fliet is crammed out and full of screaming kids just go up the road a little peice and eat in a sanely quiet environment that serves just as good food GoldFingers!
My wife and I never eat "fast food" seafood but recently we stopped by this Captain D's for dinner. The interior was very nice and clean. The 4.99 dinner specials were surprisingly good and a very good value. Service was satisfactory. Overall a nice meal out.

I went there with a bunch of friends to get dinner. Salmon was really good. The drinks were good too. I liked the food after going back after a few years. The items were just a bit pricey, and the place looked very dark and dingy. One of my Friends 2 year old daughter got really uncomfortable after a while, everything looked really dark, brown everywhere. Could use a little updating of the decor.

I've been working in Dothan for several months and eating dinner out each night. Work friends recommendedthe Old Mill. I've only ordered the crab claws (several times), but I do love them. They have been large, cooked perfectly, and delicious. The house salad is fresh and crisp. Plus, the house made Italian dressing is very good. I am returning to Dothan soon and plan to dine at the Old Mill several nights.

The best steak, seafood & oysters in Dothan, Alabama can only be found at Hunt's Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar. We are open for both lunch and dinner, serving a wide variety of your favorite meals with a smile. We offer steak, seafood, salads, sandwiche
Large portions with reasonable prices and friendly service. We had onion petals and fried mushrooms as an appetizer that were crispy and not greasy. Salad bar was ok. Blackened shrimp and scallops were great. Fried shrimp special of the day had 14 large shrimp that were perfect. Cheese rolls were sinfully good.
