During Week #1 of vacation with a friend from the South Shore of Massachusetts, we took a number of daytrips. One day, after wrapping up sightseeing in New Bedford, we moved on to Dartmouth at lunchtime. Thanks to other TripAdvisor reviewers, we selected Cape Quality Seafood as our place to have lunch. On arrival, we checked out their attached fish market. The restaurant entrance was on the side of the building. On entering, we were greeted and seated immediately. Our server, Joyelle, came by for our beverage orders as soon as we were settled. After studying the menu, we both ordered Lunch Broiled Scallops with side salads at $12.99. With the 6.25% Mass. Meals Tax, our bills were $13.90 each. The salads were fresh and crispy. The scallops were fresh, moist, and tender. Everything was delicious. Service was excellent. The place was clean. We rate Cape Quality Seafood at 5.0. We would dine here again, so we can enthusiastically recommend this restaurant to others. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below.

The Quahog Republic Whalers Tavern is located in the heart of the whaling district of historic New Bedford. We transformed this 1790's building to give a feel of a historic whaling tavern. Both a nautical and period feel. Very relaxed and great place to u
New Bedford on a Saturday night now has a thriving downtown port side. Lots of bars, grills, food emporiums.A great stop from I195 between Providence RI and Cape Cod. Pleasant well lit bar and waited upon tables. Good seafood. Freshly prepared.Great stuffed quahog, little necks on pasta Portugal style and a small? Monsta Lobster-roll. Didnât try any of the the many beers because of long drive ahead. Plan to be back as a rest stop to Airports. Etc in Rhode Island & Ct.

Located right next to the harbor, Fathoms Bar & Grille has become an integral part of New Bedford's diverse collection of eateries. Known for its rich culture and historical fishing industry, New Bedford sets the stage for Fathoms Bar & Grille to be the p
We have always had good meals at Fathoms. We take a disabled friend there on a regular basis. The handicap accessability is excellent! My husband and our friend love the Fish and Chips with the beer batter. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Served with fries and fresh tasting cole slaw. Last night I had the broiled scallops and scrod caserole. While it was cooked just right I felt it could have used a few more scallops, it was mostly peices of scrod, I also thought the mixed vegetables were nondescript, boring and overcooked. But, over all it is good value for drinks, food, and great service.

Had lunch with my wife there a few days ago and wasn't to pleased with the sitting arrangements. The food was good but the atmosphere stinks.

A small, lovely restaurant - perfect for a meal after spending the day on the waterfront. A casual but inviting atmosphere. The menu is simple and delicious. The service is fantastic. They have terrific pizzas and the seafood dishes are great! Even though the menu doesn't list gluten-free meals, a chat with our server revealed several options that were delicious. We were there on a weekend afternoon and found plenty of parking.

I was reluctant to re-visit The Black Whale after the new owners had taken over. The reviews were not complimentary. I received a gift card to the restaurant, and after a day in Boston decided to stop by for drinks and appetizers. We sat at the bar, as the restaurant even at the early hour of 6PM had a 20 minute wait. Service was attentive, calamari and Thai chicken appetizer we ordered arrived promptly and were delicious. We also noticed the kitchen was efficient--dishes flying out, portions were not diminished and staff was responsive and attentive. I look forward to going back for dinner. Though the menus is slightly modified--more offerings--the restaurant was bustling. My only concern--with the events scheduled at the pier--there was limited parking. Otherwise, our experience was excellent.Good morning Carolyn, Glad you dined with us and you were pleasantly surprised. Overall the reviews have greatly improved as the guests realize this is not the old black whale - itâs something new and elevated. Business has been great. Happy to have you on board. Please be in touch, especially if we ever let you down! Thank you.

Great place for dinner or just for drinks , lots of options from apps, sandwiches or more. Seafood, steak, pasta and never any issues to substitute your sides. Drinks are great no skimping on those. For those late nights , apps are half price during selected hours. Service in wonderful we are regulars who visit often.
