Once again, my husband and I had an amazing dinner. We called two nights before and got a reservation (lucky us!). I had the seafood risotto and my husband had the shrimp scampi. Mine was one of the best meals I've ever had. Fresh ingredients, beautifully served...just delicious. We had the carrot cake for dessert and it may have been one of the best carrot cake's I've had! This little gem is our absolute favorite and so happy it's close!
Don't be put off by what looks like an old gas station (it is!) with picnic tables next to busy local Rt.1. Should you stop, you'll be offered a choice of at least -6- local area oysters, large to jumbo size, and which likely came out of the Damariscotta River within the last 24 hours. The list describes differences in taste, and for shellfish that come from within (in some cases) no more than 500 m. from one other, those differences are wonderful to savor. There are other menu items, including a very decent lobster roll on a grilled buttered bun (my favorite); you can make a light meal for two by splitting a roll along with a dozen oysters. Several fine Maine beers on tap, and a decent wine list. No, not fancy, dining, just the taste of the river you can while slurping. What's not to love???

Best lobster rolls on the coast. Albeit, these are smaller rolls, more like sliders; but so good. I like that there is a sauce the lobster is tossed in; a light dill mayo sauce which complements the naturally sweet and particularly select meat. They are doing something relatively special here and I think it has to do with selection of the lobsters and final treatment ( cold sea water bath?). Will visit again, especially if in the mood for smaller rolls and very good sides ( fries, cole slaw). Five stars for this type of restaurant / offering and worth seeking out the place ( its one block off the main drag ).

There is great food at reasonable prices. Lots of choices that the whole family, especially the kids would enjoy.

Savory Maine Local Organic Restaurant and Provisions features delicious, creatively prepared food in our elegant dining room that was formerly the sanctuary of a church and before that a schoolroom. We locally source all of our produce, seafood poultry, p
This restaurant is the former location of a church I attended when visiting Damariscotta every summer so I was curious to see the reuse and the reviews sounded positive. The owner is supportive of the local organic farms which was a plus. We went for a late lunch and wanted a lighter meal. I ordered a bowl of their fish chowder and my husband had a chicken salad sandwich with a green side salad. The chowder was delicious and my husbandâs sandwich & salad were simple but with very fresh ingredients. We sat in the basement level where they have repurposed some of the pews from upstairs as benches along with tables and dining chairs. There were no other patrons when we arrived but customers started to come in for dinner as we were finishing. We had an enjoyable experience and would go back again.

We popped in for lunch without reading any reviews and apart from the staff, what a disappointment, firstly it felt grubby, dirty, unloved. We ordered haddock which was hot but nothing special, eating the meal out of the plastic basket was difficult and totally unappealing. At $20 it was the highest we had paid for haddock. We wouldn't come again.

The oysters were fabulous! Our waitress recommended the ones selected by the house and they were all delicious, served ice cold with cocktail sauce and horseradish. I donât like raw oysters, mine were baked with seaweed and kimchi and fabulous. My only disappointment was my $15.00 fried oyster tacos. I received 2 tacos with one oyster per taco. They were delicious and well prepared but one fried oyster per taco for that price. Really? The taco could easily accommodate 2 fried oysters and it would have met my expectations.

Come and visit us at King Eider's Pub in the heart of the coastal village of Damariscotta Maine. Our historic building has been home to many interesting businesses over its 100+ years. Today, its warmth draws the visitor into the first floor pub with its
Came in at 745 and was immediately seated despite a very busy dining room. Scott was serving us and mixing drinks. He was exceptional. Knew beers extremely well! They were out of Allagash White and he immediately offered comparable (better) alternative, for my girlfriend,a Portland, ME brewed Heffeweisen that was fantastic. He made me a Don Julio margarita that was obviously made with great bartending skill. Service and food exceeded our expectations. Well worth the price!

It was so hard to decide what to have for lunch at Larsonâs Lunch Box. Lobstah roll? Kielbasa Reuben? American Chop Suey? All great choices, however, we decided on crab rolls. I think my husband and I hit the jackpot. The hot dog roll was lightly toasted with butter and filled with sweet crab salad. Our wait was a little long, but with only two people working the stand, I think they were working as fast as they could. The menu was adult and kid friendly and the prices were competitive to the area. Picnic tables with umbrellas offer nice shade from the heat. Open Tuesday- Saturday.Thank you so much for the review! We are so glad you enjoyed the crab rolls. We are especially proud of them. We hope to see you again and again thank you for sharing your experience.

I am a regular patron. The bar at the happy hour has been a delight. I know that there are new owners. Happy hour drinks are somewhat more expensive now. I also understand that meals are more expensive with smaller portions. Not a recipe for success.Hi there, we are sorry you've found happy hour a little less happy lately - that's not OK with us. We are keeping tabs on pricing for the usual business reasons but are very focused on making sure the portions remain healthy and there is lots of value to be had - especially at happy hour! Thank you for your feedback.
