but that does not mean it is tatty! Read the few existing reviews and will tell you about our meal on a Monday lunchtime which as many will know is a day when loads of places close and try to give you a clearer picture. You have to find it first! If you stand at the bottom of the sloping main street with your back to the sea , turn right and you are opposite the fish quay. Walk 80 yards and it is on the left. As we were eating at our hotel that night we only wanted a plat de jour. There was a sign for tapas and thought a few of those might fit the bill. These were for the evening. Anyway having just a plat was no problem and staff were very pleasant and good natured. The décor is very cheerful with vibrant colours like lime green and orange giving a Mexican tone to dressers and other accent furniture. Our food was beef stew and cod. The stew was well conceived with fresh tomatoes and red peppers and a good quantity of meat. This was served with plain rice that was nutty and a good accompaniment with a salad that was dressed with a hint of sesame oil. The cod was a sizeable chunk and so fresh, it came with pasta and the salad. Observing other folk having the three courses for round about 14 euros there were fish rillettes served in a kilner jar or a plate which had jambon cru (expensive stuff) with other bits. Of desserts I could make out a fromage frais with couli.Wine by the carafe if you wished, reasonably priced. If you are looking for a change from traditional food such as moules this is an alternative and a slightly laid-back establishment which is leaning towards café rather than restaurant and a good bar which would be worth exploring as it is a big feature. They had St. Erwan ( Breton) on pression. The loo is very presentable and contains a few surprises! Seating area outside with ashtrays. All in all we were pleased to have eaten there and will return for the full works.
Aigrette, the panoramic restaurant boat in Brittany Board at Benodet, for a commented cruise on the Odet River. Our head waitter will sat you in the restaurant with its panoramic room. The view is perfect from any places, and our guide will share with you
We were part of a large group enjoying a lunch cruise up the Odet River. The quality of food served was excellent, hot and each place at the table was served at the same time. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The standard of this meal far exceeded our expectations, bearing in mind we also enjoyed a river cruise with a commentary. First class!

Friends brought us to this beautiful restaurant several times during our short visit and each meal was incredible! The seafood was amazing and the service was excellent. Chef Henri has a magic touch. The lobster cocotte was absolutely the best I've ever had. If you're anywhere near Ãle- Tudy, you must dine here.

We really enjoyed our meal at Restaurant Armoric and chose the 3 course option for around 28 Euros which was great value. The service was fantastic and the waiter was very animated and couldn't do enough for us.The meal was excellent with fresh seafood and a delicious dessert.

Away from the sea front cafes and bars, this little place serves excellent tapas. The squid is the softest I eaten in ages. There is a large free car park outside.

Most courses were really good with quality ingredients, desserts less so. Good value too. Nice decor with nice view. Service was fast and efficient but unfriendly and snobbish. Restaurant was less than 1/3 full so there was no excuse for grumpy service. Minus one star for this. Customer toilets were unacceptably filthy and untidy for at least the two hours we were there. Unacceptable for any restaurant of any level, let alone for a restaurant of this level which also has a hotel attached to it. I have seen cleaner toilets in fast foods in central London. Unacceptable, minus another star for this too.I wonât be returning back or recommend. Pity. Other restaurants we saw in the area after the dinner seemed friendlier and with better ambience.

Visited twice within a week. It was very busy each evening so booking is recommended. The service was good and plenty of choice on the menu but mainly fish and seafood. Everything was beautifully presented, delicious and fresh. The views are delightful whatever time of day or evening. Hope to return next year.

This restaurant is in the town not along the seafront but we were seated in a very pretty courtyard at the back.Full of locals and not much English spoken which all added to the pleasant atmosphere. Our party enjoyed oysters, sardines and beetroot/goats cheese mousse followed by scallops and fish. Unfortunately they had sold out of their specialty which I think were razor clams. The food was good, just a little cold when it came out, it was very good value at â¬25 for 3 courses. The wine was also good value. Worth a try if you are in the area for several nights.
