Reviews on Seafood food in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico. Coatzacoalcos (Spanish pronunciation: [ko.at.sa.ko.ˈal.kos]) is a major port city in the southern part of the Mexican state of Veracruz, on the Coatzacoalcos River. Coatzacoalcos comes from an indigenous word meaning "Site of the Snake" or "Where the snake hides". The city serves as the municipal seat of the municipality of the same name.

Altamente recomendado!!
El Muellecito in Barrillas is a palapa restaurant with quality services where you eat very rich and the family has a great time.

First the location - The restaurant is located near Forum Coatzacoalcos one of the biggest malls in town. The menu has so many dishes to select that I needed to ask to the waiter for three options, for my surprise I liked at the table and already have a delicious shrimp broth in my table... of course for free.I ordered âarroz a la tumbadaâ it has rice, octopus, fish and other seafood that is the specialty of the house. Really delicious...Restaurant is really cheap and also fancy and service espectacular...Donât miss this place if you have the opportunity I will add pictures for your reference.

This place has great atmosphere and an extremely attentive staff. The crab salad was great, but the rice and seafood stew had either been overcooked, frozen and then reheated, started with seafood that was past its prime, or some combination of the above. Ironically, we had the same dish the night before at a little mom and pop hole in the wall in the town up the road a few hours that is the namesake of this restaurant...Alvarado...and it was head and shoulders above this. I'm willing to chalk it up to an off night, but be careful.

Actions speak louder than words. Iâve already been here twice. EXCELLENT seafood buffet. Plus a menu to choose from. Full bar. Friendly service. Very reasonably priced. Not the fanciest place, but one of the best family-style mariscos Iâve ever been to. Check it out for yourself.

We were surely the only gringos in a place with near 100 tables. The service was great, the atmosphere comfortable and the food was the best mariscos I have had in awhile. I had the grilled Huachinango and it was more than I could finish (but i did anyway).
