The city is about 463 kilometers (288 miles) from Bangkok. As of 2005 it had a population of 33,522. The town covers the commune (tambon) Tha Taphao completely and parts of tambons Bang Mak, Wang Phai, Na Thung, Tak Daet, and Khun Krathing. The main economic sector of Chumphon is agriculture.

With loud (slightly warbling) ive music, and a slightly off putting menu (from fried intestine salad to sliced bread and shaved ice!) , this restaurant doesn't give the greatest first impression, but we thoroughly enjoyed our meal here while waiting for the nextdoor train. You choose your seafood from a big display, and the fresher specimens are swimming at the back, then have it served minutes later in pretty much any form you want. Would definitely come again!

The restaurant i am talking about is just beside the entrance of the Tusita resort . The adress is the same , so i think it must be this one .It is a modern , concrete building right on the road with tables in open air and sheltered terrassses and also with some tables in the garden . He got a Karaoke .The spetiality is seafood , mainly prawns and squid , cooked as you want . We ate them grilled in BBQ . Excellent . Very well cooked . Totally inexpensive place (True thai prices) . Very , very satisfied .

I ordered the prawns with mushroom and a plate of rice, the food tasted like the usual thai food, cost was about 150 baht. Free Wi-Fi but poor reception. The best reason for coming here is the location, right beside the beach.Located here.. 10.389845, 99.281616

I have never, in all my life at any restaurant anywhere in the world been ignored. Went here after checking in to our hotel. Said hello on arrival & nothing. Sat down at a table & asked for a Chang beer, the waiter ignored us & threw the menus on our table, of which there was no drinks list in it only food. All of the waiters continued to ignore us. Two more parties came in after us & were served drinks & given menus. Still no one came to serve us, yet waiters were walking past us to other diners. After at least 20 minutes we got up & walked out. Absolutely shocking service.

Stayed in the nearby hotel Nana Beach and eventhough the food there is also good, I ended up going every day to View Resort. Sundays it was packed with locals, the rest of the week is fairly quiet.All seafood dishes that you can find in other seafood restaurants are on the menu but the crab fried rice for only 50 THB is excellent. Tom yam was tasty too.

We were staying at the Novotel and Lui seafood is a couple of minutes walk to the left of the hotel,not the one opposite which is nowhere near as good as this place..Food was excellent as was the service. There are separate menus for Thais and fafangs a much better choice and much more reasonable prices than that on offer at hotel.Remember to eat early as the kitchen closes at 20.30
