We went based on the good reviews here - unfortunately didn't come off in reality. I ordered Cabrito con tacu tacu after being assured by the waitress Cabrito was beef (I had never come across Cabrito before, and didn't click to the name being quite close to cabra). I realized it was goat after one mouthful. The tacu tacu was stodgy and lacking in flavor. My partner ordered the pescado ceviche, wanting to try tollo, local fish. He was brought the mixed ceviche instead. After bringing it up with the waitress, she shortly told him that he had definitely ordered the mixed. He hadn't. No discussion, no acceptance of culpability (or even a misunderstanding). She then utterly forgot his drink order. The ceviche was pretty average compared to others we've had in Peru.It was a real bummer to have such bad service paired with pretty disappointing food. Surprised to see it top the list on tripadvisor.

Loche & Ajà is a Northern food restaurant, where we can find the most exquisite typical dishes. In addition to the best liquors.

This is a delightful place for lunch and the serves are very generous. It is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood and from the outside looks very unpretentious. Inside is a different story; the restaurant is very clean and the staff are very efficient and friendly and the menu is enormous and looks more like a newspaper than your standard menu. I ate the best ceviche here, that I have tasted since arriving in Peru and it was served in a manner that I haven't encountered before, with lots of vegetable accompaniments. The desserts are also worth trying and according to my dining companion the crepes are divine.

We have been coming here for more than 10 years and it is still our favorite restaurant in town. There is not much to do in Chiclayo, but the food is perhaps the best in the country. Try the ceviche exotico and the tacu tacu con mariscos. Can not wait to come back.

I had dinner one night at Fiesta Groumet Chiclayo, where I learned just how wonderful duck chiclayana can be! If you are some who doesnât like fresh cilantro, donât try it; otherwise, OMG, what a delight! My entire meal was wonderful: I began with an amuse bouche featuring shredded duck on a bun. I then had an appetizer of skewered baby goat with onion and red pepper and OMG, that was tasty! And then the duck chiclayo, served with rice and vegetables â so deliciously memorable! As I savored these scrumptious dishes, I sipped red wine from Ica, and learned that Peru does, in fact, produce at least one worthy wine.Service was professional and attentive without being stiff, and the setting was modern and bright. The restaurant itself is in a section of town that seemed to me to be large deserted; donât let that put you off!

I have been in most of the best restaurants in Chiclayo and Caserio for me and my family is the most complete. Excellent and delicious food , very nice ambience and outstanding service.. The price is at the same range of the other good restaurants , the difference is that your total experiencee for the quality and variety of plates ,service and ambience will made you feel more satisfaction . I recommend El Apatadito, Tuna Tartar, Fideos al Ajillo, Lomo a la Pimienta and of course their desserts.
