Reviews on Seafood food in Cephalonia, Ionian Islands, Greece. The sapphire waters of Cephalonia are steeped with history. The large Greek island was home to Odysseus, the legendary king hailed in Homer’s The Odyssey. Fortunately, it won’t take you ten years to get there. Explore the enchanting caverns of the Drogarati caves, sail to Ithaca on a glass-bottomed boat or marvel at the ancient artifacts inside the Archaeological Museum of Argostoli, Cephalonia’s main town. Or just hide from it all at one of the island’s many private beach coves.

Im sure this is one of the best places in Kefalonia to eat. Obviously in 10 days you cant sample every place but we went back twice. There were plenty of restaurants to choose from but this one really stood out for variety, quality, taste, setting & service. A windy drive to Jersualem beach which is a beautiful spot although fairly rocky/pebbly (beach shoes may be helpful) but sea is crystal clear and its not too busy either (early Sept) The taverna is set back off the beach but in the evening has a wonderful calm and tranquil setting in amongst the vines and moon overhead. The owners are Greek but have or do live in UK so can happily speak to you in English (whilst I was practising my Greek) No menu, but just pop inside to see the menu board or have a look in the oven warmer to see whats on offer. We opted for a meze of a variety of dishes because we couldn't decide. Just delicious and missing it already!

The ideal location in the picturesque harbour of Fiscardo, the northern part of Kefalonia, harmoniously pairing with the exquisite aesthetics of both interior & exterior spaces of our restaurant is the starting point and influencing source of our business
We came here for lunch whilst in Fiscardo and it was REALLY good! Traditional Greek cuisine beautifully presented by very friendly staff. Would recommend the eggplant saganaki and octopus carpaccio. House wine was delicious also. Would definitely return!

Every was great at this restaurant, the servers were extremely nice even though they had poor english. The food was very good and plentiful, I ordered the saganaki mussels and I got a plate that was literally full of mussels. But the best part about the restaurant was the view. If you come here you should try the tables on the balcony as the view was breathtaking. In our 10 day stay in Cephalonia this was the only restaurant we visited twice. Could not recommend this place enough.

Sea-Rock-ÏÏ is a mediterranean cuisine, a la carte, restaurant located at the coast of Agia Efimia offering special food, relaxing atmosphere and magnificent sea views. We offer as well cooking lessons, if you are interested please contact us on our mail
I am sceptical about very good reviews of restaurants in holiday places: the sun is out, the wine is flowing and you have a jovial host and Greek music thrown in so what could be nicer. We spotted Sea Rock when walking along the coast from our apartment in Agia Efimia. It looked well attended so when I checked it out on this site I thought it might be a case of Holiday Euphoria! How wrong I was. The restaurant looks like many others in AF but the food is certainly not! The menu is certainly not your run of the mill Taverna fayre. Not a huge menu by any means but certainly something for most people. We shared Tsatsiki to start; beautifully presented and very tasty. Then for mains I ordered Cod on Spinach with Mushrooms and hubby had Pork in a Mustard and Lemon sauce. The dishes when delivered were very attractive and made you want to dive right in! The food was absolutely delicious. Hubby managed a dessert of Chocolate Mousse; I tried it, too rich for me but he enjoyed it. The house Rose was excellent as was the service - attentive and pleasant. In the UK this food would certainy merit 2 Rosettes. We were so impressed we booked for our last night on holiday thinking it would make a fitting end to a perfect 10 days away.

Deco Art Cuisine
We came to this restaurant only because of the 1st place in Sami according to TA. But comparing to other places in the town which we visited during three weeks Deco isn't above the middle, probably even below. Service was not attentive. We waited for menu and wine cards for 10 min and another 10 to make an order. One dish was good - blue cheese salad. Aubergine salad was nice also. However we had to ask for a bread separately though it should come with such salad by default, as well as lemon should come with octopus by default. But in this place it doesn't come also. In addition Octopus was overgrilled. Prawns saganaki contained ...just three prawns and cost 9 euro...see picture. Moussaka was nice also. The bill is above average for Sami. We would never return to this restaurant(

We booked a table and glad we did as this place is very popular. This is a special place and we went here for our wedding anniversary, We asked for a table with a view and we certainly got that, we were placed looking out to sea. They have great taste in decor and use beautiful glasses, decanters and plates. The food was delicious and the house red was good. The staff are very friendly and very efficient. They knew it was our wedding anniversary and brought us a delicious dessert with a candle which we thought was a lovely gesture. We arrived in a taxi but they wouldn't drive up to Anemos because the road is quite bad so we walked the last 5 minutes or so.We got this taverna to order a taxi back to our hotel and they insisted in getting a taxi that did drive along this bad road. We thank you for making our anniversary very special and look forward to coming back next year.

Occasionally you order something from a restaurant that, whilst perfectly cooked and presented, really isn't for you. It's when that happens that you discover what the customer care of a restaurant is all about. Well, the response from both waiter and owner at Acqua Alaties was superb. I had declined an alternative, but the course I had rejected was still taken off the bill, a glass of wine offered "on the house" as was a coffee. Thank you - the gesture was much appreciated. As other reviewers have said, this restaurant offers great views of the sunset; is adjacent to a lovely little beach and is the perfect place for a light super. Whilst my meal was not right for me, I could see that other clients were having a great time.

This restaurant is located on the very last turn before actually getting on the Vatsa beach itself (about 100 m from the beach).
Beautiful place. Very friendly service. It is obvious that they care about the quality of the food. I imagine everything is home made. Today Lamb Kleftiko was on special. Home cooked. Apparently it took 24 hours to prepare and cook. It was amazing, served in the parchment that it was cooked in.I only wish I could go back and try something else.
