Today we have arrived early in Porlezza after our trip from the Netherlands. As our accommodation wasn't available yet we decided to look for a restaurant where breakfast was being served. We ordered 4 croq Monsieur and a panini chicken. Despite the waitress was very friendly and the food was served fast, the quality of the food was not so good. So from this perspective the price vs the quality is not in line with our expectations

Went here with the family just for the Italian pizza and they did not disappoint! We had all kinds of toppings, all delicious. Good Italian beer also.

An excellent restaurant just on the main road through Carlazzo.Experienced outstanding food quality and service at La Solitaria as well as wonderful views across the countryside to the lakes and obviously the surrounding mountains.Absolutely recommended, the restaurant appears to cater for all and there is a terrifically large range of choices esp. of the wonderful Italian pizzas - none of your ham and pineapple here! Also love the fact the pizzas are cooked in an outside kitchen and you can watch them as they come out to all the tables. So good will be returning for further meals later during our stay in the area.So if you're in the area drop in and you'll not be disappointed.

We stopped here on our way to Tremezzina and we both decided on a pasta, a portion of spagetti with basil and tomatoes and a portion og penne with safran and bacon and some housewine - white and sparkling water to go with our meal. We finished it off with to portions of Tiramisu and a nice cup of coffee.Nice restaurant located at the seafront with a lovely viewof the lake.Nice and friendly staff.

The restaurant "Il Ritrovo" in Porlezza is situated on the bank of the beatiful Lugano Lake. It offers a unique, stunning panorama with a large terrace placed directly on the lake, with a specially selected wines and a Mediterranean menù, the staff are at
Bussling restaurant, popular with the locals, always a good sign, found us a table mid-week, so advise booking as they were nearly full. Really good meal with friendly staff using local ingredients

We decided to come to the place after reading the reviews. We always go to Pinguino for pizza on our shopping run in Porlezza but this time wanted a change. What a disappointment... I have to say that they might be something wrong with the previous reviews as the reality is totally different. Firstly, the service is bad. We place had only few tables taken but we had to wait for being seated and waiters kept on passing by (five or six of them) and ignoring us. They didn't bring a chair for our kid, neither her cutlery. We repeated twice we wanted a full size pizza for our kid and not a baby size. Secondly, the place is scruffy. The water was not running from the tap, and the toilet was dirty. Thirdly, the pizza was simply horrible. The dough is okeyish but the ingredients were of a really poor quality: too much of cheap mozzarella with a dash of tomato sauce under it. We didn't try other dishes and I don't think we'll ever do. My verdict is: never again!

This restaurant has become a favourite for the simple Italian dishes we love. We try to make sure that we visit on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday to partake of the fish menu which included two of our favourites - Spaghetti alle Vongole and Calamari Fritti which are exceptional at this restaurant. The Tagliatelle ai Funghi Porcini is also a good alternative on other nights. The restaurant is very large with a really nice outside terrace and is alway extremely busy and full of life. It is simple Italian cooking at its best and the bill is always reasonable. Service is pleasant and efficient.

We stumbled upon this treasure of a restaurant on our way back from Lake Lugano. It is a cosy little restaurant nestled in the middle of picturesque surroundings of mountains. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. There is a small family run business feel to it. Some of the diners clearly frequented the restaurant regularly. The food is very good and prices are reasonable. Well worth visiting if youâre planning a visit to Lake Como.

We found this wonderful place by accident having been to the nearby supermarkets. Tucked some 100 metres up a side road it was almost full when we arrived just after midday on a chilly February day. There was an option of a set lunch (which we chose) or the normal menu. The set lunch menu offered three seperate choices on each course so in itself was almost a mini menu. The options change each day.Simply put, the meal was of a very good standard, well cooked and exceptional value for money.Needless to say, lunch here is now going to be an integral part of our shopping trips.

Situated a little way out of town seems everyone drivers except us who walked but we were ready for our meal when we got there.Nice setting for a meal big outdoor eating area and also could eat inside the food was very good the only thing that let it down was our waitress who was grumpy and was trying to rush us as she appeared to want to go. There was no interaction.
