Reviews on Seafood food in Breda, North Brabant Province, The Netherlands. Breda (Dutch pronunciation: [breːˈdaː] ( listen)) is a city and municipality in the southern part of the Netherlands, located in the province of North Brabant. The name Breda derived from brede Aa ('wide Aa' or 'broad Aa') and refers to the confluence of the rivers Mark and Aa. As a fortified city, the city was of strategic military and political significance. Although a direct Fiefdom of the Holy Roman Emperor, the city obtained a municipal charter; the acquisition of Breda, through marriage, by the House of Nassau ensured that Breda would be at the center of political and social life in the Low Countries. Breda had a population of 183,456 in 2017; the metropolitan area had a population of 324,812. It is part of the Brabantse Stedenrij.

The Netherlandsâ latest culinary hotspot is located right at the heart of Breda. Restaurant Liefdegesticht is an extension of Hotel Nassau Breda, situated in a former convent. Itâs not just a restaurant, but a sanctuary where chef Angel Pando and his devo
Located in Hotel Nassau, which is a converted convent, although the restaurant area itself has less reference to that heritage than the rest of the hotel. It does not have a huge capacity, seating is well gapped and unobtrusive: some may feel this sparse and so a little lacking in atmosphere.I chose the chefs choice of four with preselected wines. All courses were excellent, well balanced, and a little intriguing. Wasabi crumble with water melon as a fish accompaniment, whoâd have thought - it was great. The staff were fantastic, sociable without being intrusive, and knowledgeable without sounding academic. My only problem was the amuse bouche that was served on a bed of split peas. Only no one told me the peas werenât cooked and werenât for eating, it was like gravel off the river bed, I had to surreptitiously empty my mouth before it became un-amuse bouche. So one mark off for that, laughing at myself, otherwise great!

Great restaurant, I can recommend to go there. Not top notch but excellent classic food for a fair price. Nice ambiance and in the summ you can sit outside. Service is very good, friendly, polite and attentive but not overly present. The restaurant is at the city centre border, so if you park 100 meters south of the restaurant you can park for free.

Restaurant Salon de Provence is located in Ginneken. A pleasant atmosphere and very good food defines its character. The menu is traditional French and lunch & dinner are served. In summer a tiny terrace adds to ambiance. Nearby you find a choice of restaurants. The chef is excellent while the maître d' is friendly and the waitresses are highly amateurish. We came on a weekday and the restaurant was jam-packed, a good sign. We went for a classical four-course menu and accompanied wine. Food is well presented and tasty. We recommend Salon de Provence to anyone who seeks very good food at a reasonable price. The restaurant deserves its Bib Gourmand. Well worth a visit.

This restaurant was easy to book online. We both ordered a three course menu option priced at â¬38. The menu was not available in English but help was available if needed. We both had a tomato starter which was good. We had different main courses one of meat and one of fish, both were good. For me though the star of the show was a blueberry desert which was excellent. My partner was also very pleased with his cheese selection which was all of good quality. One thing to note was that the toilets were reached via a very steep staircase. I'm not sure if any alternative is available. The staff were all very pleasant.

We made a reservation 3 weeks in advance, because it's a very good restaurant. My wife and I choose the Classic menu of 3 courses, but you can also choose the Italian way of having diner. The fish soup was a starter, but There was so much fish in it, that it looked like a main course! The main course had various kinds of meat and all very well baked, very soft meat. This was really one of the best restaurants we have ever had dinner.Love to come back Here.

Wow what a surprise! The service at this place really amazed us. The waiters were extremely helpful, friendly and happy - in a way I don't think I've ever experienced before. Since my girlfriend was having her birthday, we received her main course for free!!The giros was good, the bifteki my girlfriend had was really good and had a rich flavour. Based on the service alone I would definitely recommend this place. Well done!

Wolfslaar Restaurant in Breda (Brabant) has, from 2005 until now, been awarded a Michelin star every year. According to guest reviews on independent restaurant review websites we belong to the 10 best restaurants of North Brabant and to the 80 best restau
We had really negative experience there. The restaurant that is already quite expensive charged us 12.90 euro for still water from a jar that they boast they get from the local deep water reservoir! And can you imagine a limoncello for 8.90 euro per portion?! It is not in the menue and thus we couldn't know the price until we asked the waiter that is not a really convenient practice. And in general the food was not worth the money. Might be Michelin critics find those tastes interesting but I guess it is not what regular customers seek for.
