Bluffton is the fifth largest municipality in South Carolina by land area. The town is a primary city within the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton-Beaufort, SC Metropolitan Statistical Area. Bluffton is known for its eclectic Old Town district and natural views of the May River. It has been called "the last true coastal village of the South."

I do not normally go to chain restaurants. However Hook and Reeo opened in my hometown of Bluffton South Carolina. I try to support all my local establishments so I went. Wow! Was I surprised. The food was darn good. I liked the eclectic atmosphere and decor. My server Liz was out of this world. She was very attentive and made excellent suggestions. I suggest asking for her if she is on duty. I started with an appetizer of french fries covered with crab. I enjoyed it and would recommend. We got one of the steam bags. We focused on crawfish, lobster, shrimp. It was excellent. And we had enough left over for the next day. If you have a seafood craving then I recommend Hook and Reel seafood restaurant.

When I noticed a patron of another restaurant wearing a Salty Dog branded tank top, I remembered it was one of those must-do places while in town. The establishment is conveniently located at Tanger Outlet 2. We shopped a bit then went to Salty Dog for lunch/dinner. We (party of 2) were seated right away, no wait. Our server was very sweet and attentive. The Buffalo Shrimp and Fried Flounder Sandwich were fantastic! I never saw a fish sandwich made with bacon and cheese before and it made all the difference. It was not over-the-top salty, just lots of flavor. On the other hand, the hush puppies and Crab Cake Sandwich were underwhelming. Their hush puppies tasted like a sweet pancake which was not quite what I expected. The Crab Cake Sandwich was bland, with the brioche bun overriding the crab meat. It wouldâve been greatly enhanced had they also offered it with cheese and bacon. Now that I know what I like from this place, I would definitely visit again.

We very much enjoyed sitting on their porch which faces Calhoun Street, quaint and atmospheric. The service was exceptional, as was the food, perhaps with the exception of the mussels which was ordered as an appetizer. Overall this restaurant is one of the best in the area and is highly recommended.

Wanted some great seafood and all the locals told us this is the place! WOW they were right. Mavi was our server and she was great. Walked us through the options on the menu. The food was out of this world and the service to match! Canât wait to came back on our next trip. If your looking for a local restaurant that treats like there own, this is the place.

this is a very good Caribbean restaurant in Bluffton! As good as if not better than anything you find in Atlanta. Try the Jerk Chicken and Rice and Beans. The Curry Shrimp is is excellent. Good Service.

People love coming here. Even with a 20-30 minute wait whether itâs lunch or dinner. Good local seafood is offered, along with typical burgers & sandwiches at fair prices. Parking can be challenging. And inside it gets very loud - Iâm sure itâs because everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. Basically, if you can find parking, donât mind waiting and arenât looking for something unique, this is a good place to pick. Thank you for the kind review. We look forward to having you with us again in the future!

Our first visit here was impressive. We enjoyed the delicious salad with fried green tomatoes and the pasta with seafood special although a little spicy was great as was the flounder and the grouper. The dessert of chocolate was amazing. We enjoyed this great find in a little strip mall with limited parking. The restaurant is small so suggest making a reservation especially in season. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. Can't wait to go back next visit.Thank you for taking time to write such a great review!! We visited with neighbors for a street dinner. Lovely restaurant and first class ambience. Great early bird menu and at reasonable prices. Our server Jeremy was first class and all the meals and drinks were delivered as ordered, including those with dietary restrictions. Jeremy enhanced the evening. Food was first class and well prepared and presented. Not the cheapest venue but well worth a visit.

Cozy, great vibe, delicious food....fresh and prepared perfectly. We started with a grilled artichoke and pate. The artichoke was 3 halves grilled beautifully....more than enough for 2. We chose the sole (entre for 2)....delicious as always. Added the whipped potatoes and grilled broccolini as our sides....yum! A delish French Chablis added to our experience.However the MOST enjoyable part of our evening was our server, Tonja!!! I had been in the restaurant business for years and know how rare it is to find a phenomenal server. Tonja has just the right amount of everything.....attentiveness, knowledge of the menu, suggestions, timing, and so darn pleasant. Bluffton Room you have a gem in your presence! Love this place!!!
