If you don't mind waiters in shorts, plastic chairs, your cutlery in a goodie bag and great sea food then this is the place for you. We dined here most nights and we found the food just as good and in most cases better than the posher restaurants in the area. They have a good selection of dishes and wines with a most delicious coffee ice scream (ask for kimbo coffe ice cream). Waiters were courteous and wore knee heigh jeans with an apron doing their best to help. Food came quickly and although basic, it was cooked to perfection. Price was modest and overall it was a great value restaurant. The biggest bonus is a the great view of the aragonese tower and the never ending beach. A great choice and strongly recommended !

I don't know whether we dropped lucky, but on a rainy afternoon in August we stopped here and ate a fish menu. It's only a beach bar/shack. As we had 2 children, we ordered the mixed fish menu for 2 people at 28 Euro per person excluding drinks and sides, which seems a lot for lunch, but we had terrific mussels for starters (the best I've had) followed by x2 what looked like grilled sea bass, x2 lumps of swordfish I think and x2 skate wings - all grilled, fresh and tasted fantastic. I recall we paid around £68 Euro - with drinks, salads etc, but I'd say the fish was truly great so well worth it for me.

We stayed 3 nights in Cardedu region and went 3 times to the same place! The fish is fantastic and the boss is the most sympathetic and helpful guy! However my Italian is poor (better than the English of the Boss) we had the opportunity to communicate and share a common passion of good cuisine and quality time! Must EAT if you're in the region!

My wife and I popped into Orchidea Blu at lunchtime upon arriving at Bari Sardo. Antonello who I believe owns the restaurant looked after us very well. We were looking for something that was quick and easy as we arrived from a long trip from Sant' antioco island. We went for the wood fired oven pizza as I noticed from the outside the restaurant the pizza oven chimney which was about 15 foot high! I opted for the Arrabbiata pizza which was laced with fresh anchovy and nicely spiced with chilli. I prefer thin crust on my pizza and this didn't disappoint. With plenty of tomato and cheese on the large base, this was as authentic as they come! My wife opted for the Sardinian sausage with pecorino...Yum! Make sure you're hungry as the pizza's are filling.! We found the prices to be very reasonable and we enjoyed a glass of white wine, Ichnusa beer, mineral water and espresso coffee to finish. The restaurant was quiet but then again, it was a Monday afternoon. We only visited the one time but our lunch experience was very pleasant indeed.

We went here due to the good reviews.Unfortunately our experience was not a great one. We were given conflicting information about how to order. Once we had ordered, the food arrived reasonably promptly. It was average. Nothing special and expensive for what it was, compared to their places we have eaten in Sardinia. The card machine was not working so we paid in cash but only had 100euro note, this was unfortunate but this should not have been a problem as they would have loads of change if everyone had to pay with cash. They were moaning about us and the fact that we were English...obviously our business is not good enough for them!

Nice ambience, friendly attentive host. Very tasteful food. We had the mix of seafood and the beef with cannonau (reginal wine) sauce and pecorino cheese. As dessert the cheese board and a chocolate soufflé, which was extremely scrumptious.Very relaxed evening. I fully recommend going for a meal here.(Fyi they don't serve pizzas)

We had a lovely meal here recently and would definitely recommend this restaurant. We loved the mixed carpaccio starter which was huge and definitely for sharing! It was made with fresh octopus, swordfish, tuna, prawns and more.We had the tiramisu for dessert which is equally as delicious! For the shared starter, two mains, two desserts and 750ml of wine we paid no more than 60 Euros and it was worth every penny. The service of the head waiter/manager also deserves a mention because he was excellent - Very helpful, polite and friendly.

Out of season visit. We're given a Italian /German menu, while being a English /Dutch couple. Had a nice pizza Romana, could have done with some garlic. Husband had mixed grill (meat) which was salted, when that could have done without and left to do oneself. Overall okay atmosphere. No chicken dishes what so ever though.

Immersed in the Mediterranean maquis , surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, the Abba restaurant and Murta welcomes its guests in a simple and elegante.Le large rooms inside and the outside terrace of the restaurant , it is the ideal place to savor ,
We visited this restaurant following a recommendation from the manager of our hotel, and we are so glad we did. The surroundings are beautiful. You can sit on the verandah which looks out over vineyards, or inside in the lovely dining room. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, particularly the restaurant manager who is charming and knowledgeable. There is a set menu available featuring classic dishes of Sardinia. The suckling pig was amazing! This menu was served with jugs of very good house wine. You can also choose off the main menu, which was particularly strong on seafood. We enjoyed the experience so much we went two nights in a row!
