Had lunch here on two occasions. Very clean and staff very attentive. Food typical of the area and of good quality and very tasty. We will definitely return when we are back in the area early next year on our regular visits from Scotland.

Ci siamo fermati il giorno di ferragosto mentre eravamo a gironzolare per la zona, c'era una vasta scelta di ogni ben di dio, infatti ci siamo fatti prendere dalla golosità e alla fine eravamo pieni come le uova :) e tutto buonissimo! La titolare gentilissima, consigliato!

We found this place by accident, as there used to be very good pizzeria in the same building. This is a fine dining establishment, with an emphasis on seafood, and it is just amazing. We actually returned to try some of the other items on the menu as our first experience was so good. The maitre d' and the chef both are talented sommeliers, and the wine list reflects this. The service is very impressive, and the menu was inventive and very well-prepared. Had the best octopus dish I've ever had--tender and fragrant. Also memorable as this is the first time in 35 years my husband has ever ordered a dessert! I had tried the lemon tart the first time and it was so good he ordered it for himself the second time. Usually he has a dessert grappa....On our second visit they had translated the menu into English, with some unfortunate choices, so stick to the Italian!

We used to visit this at it's previous location so we're happy to see it opening at the other end of town after being closed for some time. First visit this summer was a pizza choice, heavy on the tomato but still tasty. Friendly service and a nice environment with choices of where to sit, inside or outside etc. Second visit was fish and meat and it was beautiful. Good food is about flavour and getting the balance right. My sea bass was wonderfully cooked. The wine etc is a very reasonable price. Lots of locals eat here, as they should. It's not touristy. Parking space at the front, bar next door. There's a daily special menu board as well and a good spread of meat, fish and vegetarian options. Staff are charming, service is relaxed but efficient. Value for money.

Dropped in here for lunch based on the good reviews. We were not disappointed. This place is like a fish shop/café/restaurant with seating inside and out. It is opposite a large car park- so parking was easy. The menu included a whole variety of pasta and gnocchetti with sauce of your choice ;marinara, vongole, crab- and so on: then a catch of the day: fritto calamari, shrimp and vegetables, stew: sea bass. the 4 of us had different dishes, they were all good as was the complimentary octopus starter. The staff are friendly and helpful. It was a lunchtime drive so unfortunately had to pass on the excellent wine choice. 42 Euro for 4.

We were here last night and enjoyed ourselves. No menu but the helpful, English speaking waitress was able to advise. Antipasti was great and very large. Delicious pasta, I particularly appreciated that there were several vegetarian sauces for my daughter to choose from. I shared a secondo because the pasta was large!Very good value food.

Word of mouth from the local villagers led us to Barchetto. They knew what they were talking about. It's a fabulous setting and the service was very attentive, helpful and efficient. We only looked at the seafood options and were very pleased with our meals. The entree with 6 different tastings was absolutely delicious.

rustic interior; very good traditional Italian/Tuscan food. Lots of options for grilled meat or fish. Abundant portions. Impeccable service. Pizza and focaccette in the evening. pranzo di lavoro on weekdays. Note that this restaurant, Flamingo, tecently moved to Ponte all'Ania (Pedona) on the shore of the Ania river; before if was located near the shore of the Serchio river in the territory of Gallicano. The quality, if anything, has improved! Prices reasonable. Housewine very good. RECOMMENDED!

convenient, friendly and amazing food only serve pizza though no past etc. Staff attentive and friendly, very warm inside put down to pizza oven!

We found this restaurant whilst wandering around Barga in the evening. We are not fans of fish but the shortish but interesting menu caters for all tastes. The service was excellent, good English spoken which made it easier to ask about the dishes, and saved me breaking into poor Italian! Very enjoyable evening. Busy restaurant mostly outside in a piazza. Plenty of locals eating which is a good sign imho.
