Absolutely fantastic restaurant in a quiet village with a crowd waiting for tables but weâd booked ahead! Fabulous range of dishes on the menu and great service. Worth every penny!

Refined pleasures await you in the Reading Room Restaurant. You will enjoy a dining experience where the delicious cuisine and attentive service are surpassed only by the breathtaking ocean view. Our menu includes fresh seafood, choice cuts of meat, daily
This is a beautiful room at the beautiful Bar Harbor Inn facility in a beautiful place. It presents itself as fine dining and the price point reflects that. However, nothing else does. The food is pedestrian at best and is more catering hall than Condé Nast. The service is amateurish. Even the cocktails are a bit disappointing. This place really deserves to be spectacular. Maybe for next yearâs high season they will get new management, a new chef and servers who have upscale experience and skills. One can only hope.

The chowder and carrot ginger soup were amazing. The server Mark was knowledgeable and courteous, well spaced apps, salads and meal. Great place for a great meal.

We are a little bit of a few things! Fresh seafood to take home and prepare yourself... Maine made specialty foods, including jams & jellies, spices, cheese, sauces & rubs... A menu of sandwiches and other lighter fare reflecting what's fresh in for the d
Our quest was the perfect lobster roll a local recommended this place and we were not disappointed. Delicious with a local blueberry ale. Totally impressed. Service friendly as well.

Enjoy the fresh air and relaxation of our outdoor cafe overlooking Frenchman Bay. The Terrace Grille serves Lunch and Dinner daily from 11:30am. Open to the public and no reservations necessary.
This property is lovely. The Terrace Grill is outside surrounded by water, grass to one side, hotel behind, outdoor fire pit. It is as lovely as properties in La Jolla, CA. Super wine and beer list. Friendly servers and quick service. Hats off to the servers as they approach the end of the season! Keep smiling and finish strong!! Food was excellent. Only blip on the screen was that I order a 1.4 pound lobster. The waiter said the kitchen would break it down for me so I didnât need to deal with the shell. When the lobster came it was in a small-medium size ramekin. I think I had maybe 5-6 smallish bites. Seems like some of the lobster was left in the kitchen. I didnât question the server. We just paid our moderately expensive bill and walked back to our Inn.

We loved Side Street Cafe. The menu is large and offers a lot of options. The french fries are AMAZING. I also really enjoyed their Emmy sandwich (added chicken) for a healthier lunch option. Great place to go after a long day hiking in Acadia.

C-Ray Lobster is the local's trusted seafood shop and take-out eatery. C-ray is the source for lobster dinners, lobster rolls, steamer clams, mussels and the day's catch of island caught seafood either live or cooked onsite, or packed to travel. All of ou
Our motel recommended this place to have a true Maine lobster experience, which we had apparently passed several miles before we reached on Bar Harbor on Hwy 3. Was he ever right! Even though Hurricane Dorian was quickly heading toward New England and eastern Canada, we still had enough time to squeeze in an outdoor, rustically served (and eaten) lobster. We even got to pick out our own lobster. We were even instructed on what to look for and encouraged to reach in the tank and "get" our own! They then prepared the lobsters while we waited by the cozy campfire. We were literally given the correct tools, written instructions and lots of oral encouragement on how to extract the meat. It was served with melted butter and corn on the cob. We had so much fun! And of course the lobster was delicious. Several other customers arrived before us and purchased a wide variety of seafood to apparently prepare themselves, which made us jealous that we didn't live near there...They provided several stations at which to wash your hands, which you will definitely need to do. Then we overheard someone talk about the blueberry pie. We walked back inside and order two pieces of literally the BEST blueberry pie we've ever eaten. Full and happy, we drove back to our motel ready to ride out Dorian.

The Stadium is a fast casual restaurant with two floors of seating inside of a sports stadium. Food is served in the rear of the first floor at a ballpark concession themed walk-up counter. The second floor is reserved for serving lobster dinner packages
Everything I had here during my few days in Bar Harbor was excellent. The wild blueberry pie is homemade, and it is wonderful, without too much sugar. The Lobster Rolls were great, and the staff really interacts with the customers, giving lessons on how to open lobsters correctly, asking how the food is, even offering to go back downstairs for you if you want to order something else. This is a don't-miss in a town I found overall to be too crowded and full of kitschy touristy items.

Phil & Kelly Corson welcome you to their family owned and operated lobster takeout restaurant. Previously located at our old location 864 State Hwy. 3, we have moved to our new location - a brand new building, more parking and full restrooms. The Corson f
We stopped at the Travelin Lobster twice on our recent trip to Acadia and loved the food! Our favorite by far was the lobster roll - the best one we had on our whole vacation. LOTS of lobster and a perfectly toasted bun with one piece of crisp lettuce. Also good were the mussels, lobster panini, steamed lobster and cold beer. Nice ambience for a roadside stand. Family-owned and friendly service. Definitely recommend if youâre looking for a casual lunch or early dinner. So happy you folks enjoyed your meal with us and especially the lobster rolls. Hope to see you again at some point and thank you so much for writing us such a nice review of our roadside lobster shack. Hank T. The Original Travelin' Lobster.

Rose Eden Lobster is the former Travelin' Lobster. We are continuing to serve fresh Maine lobster, at the same location, at an affordable price cooked the way it has always been cooked. We are still primarily a takeout restaurant but as always we have lim
We arrived in Bar Harbor on a cruise ship, scheduled for 10am-7pm. We walked up Main Street to find the Island Explorer shuttles. The shuttles were free for us as we had a national parks pass, otherwise, I believe it is $15 pp to enter Acadia National Park. We first took the #3 and got off at Otter Cliff and then walked the trail back to Sandy Beach stop. We then hopped on the #4 to Hull's Cove Visitors Center, got off and transferred to the #1 bus. We took this to Hadley's Point Campground stop and walked across the street to Rose Eden Lobster shack. We were aware that they did not open until 3pm and we were about 10 mins early, but took some pics with the wooden lobster sign, the lobster lovers parking sign and relaxed at one of the picnic tables after all of our hiking and working up an appetite. As soon as they opened, we ordered the 2 lobsters, 2 ears of corn and 1lb of mussels combo for a very reasonable price (less than $50). It was ready in about 15-20 mins and was ridiculously fresh and yummy!! This is a roadside shack with picnic tables, nothing fancy, but definitely has everything you need to enjoy a fresh Maine lobster dinner at an affordable price. We jumped back on the #1 bus back to Village Green and still had a little time to look at a few shops by the port before getting back to the ship (for dessert;))Wow. Sounds like you had a great day visiting the Park and having a super lobster dinner to boot. The free shuttle bus is a real plus. Good to see that it worked well for you folks. Many thanks for the review and great to hear that your time at our little lobster shack was so positive with great seafood at a reasonable price.
