Located on the historic Old Yacht Basin, the Frying Pan features fresh, local favorites from grilled and pan-seared seafood to perfectly fried specialties. Combined with savory homemade sweet potato biscuits and desserts by our own Ms. Dot, the Frying Pan
We recently have had dinner several times over the summer. The menu features fresh local seafood, and has amazing homemade sweet potato biscuits. You can have your fish grilled, fried, or blackened. I also enjoyed the shrimp and corn chowder. Lovely view from inside or out on the deck.

We heard some good things about Turtle Island so we decided to give it a try on our last night in town. Unfortunately we had to wait 1 1/2 hours with a 2 year old as couples and large groups continued to be seated before us. I'm not sure how Management organizes their seating priorities but they need to rethink it and actually put the customers needs first. We checked in as soon as we arrived and watched as other parties were seated ahead of us. If there is a backlog of people who called in to reserve a seat the Management staff should be able to tell the other customers who are patiently waiting that there is no way they will be seated. We were told several times after our 45 minute wait that we were next. After 90 minutes we gave up. No second chances will be given here.

I got the shrimp and grits which was delicious. My husband got the oyster poboy sub and he loved it. We got really good service and they were very friendly to our dog. We would go again, the outdoor area is really nice, comfy chairs and tables.

Great little dive! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food was very good and quick. Great beers on tap. Worth the trip and the wait if you have to.

Exquisite dining on the Cape Fear-where southern cuisine and exceptional wines and spirits meet the salubrious breezes of Southport.
Stopped in for lunch and were promptly seated. Service by Lectoria was outstanding. We were in a bit of a rush and she helped us navigate the menu quickly and ensured that our orders were timely. We started with the Jimmy Shrimp, which were excellent, followed by the softshell BLT and the southern burger. Both of the mains were great. Nice selection of beer. Overall, good value.

Canât beat the view. The wait process is very efficient and was much shorter than we were told. Self serve drinks make it easy to keep your cup full. The food was decent but not outstanding. The shrimp was slightly over cooked. The deviled crab cakes were good and the conch fritters were excellent. Very lively place and worth the experience when in Southport.

My husband and I had "date night" at Surf House while visiting Carolina Beach. This is the second time we've had dinner at this establishment. We started with the raw oysters and fish pate. Both were fresh and beautifully presented. For our entrees, I had the fish of the day (Golden Tile) and my husband had the Pecan Crusted Catfish. Both were delicious and worth the price. Lovely cocktails and wine list too!

A quaint Fresh Seafood experience that won't break the bank. We offer the best quality seafood provided by the owner and other reputible suppliers. We provide an amazing dining experience from Hello to Good-bye. Come check us out and see what all the talk
Small restaurant in a small strip shopping center. The grouper, Crab legs, and sides were delicious. Left nothing on our plates. Homemade desserts were tempting so we tried the lighter option (coconut angel food cake) and were not disappointed. The location is far away from downtown Wilmington

A longtime Southport institution, one of the top dining spots in town. Low Country-leaning menu. Good wine list
I love this restaurant! I always get the underground tuna because itâs so delicious and so much better than anywhere else. Service and food are always great here and we can always take guests here and know we will have a wonderful experience. Donât ever leave!

Cape Fear Boil Company is a locally owned seafood restaurant/caterer specializing in traditional NC 'Coastal Low-Country Boils' serving the Cape Fear region. Our steam 'Pot-To-Go' service also provides our acclaimed boil without the full service catering.
For our wedding day, we didnt hesitate going with Cape Fear Boil Co. to cater. Ty was exceptional with knowing what questions to ask and addressing food allergies with a few family members. He called a few days prior to the wedding to confirm everything and what Tim he he would be there. The food was perfect. So good, as the bride, i was first at the table to eat and i put an apron over my dress so i could dive right in. It was amazing! They supplied everything. All we had to do was eat up. For the price, the amount of food, and quality.... This was the the easiest decision for us. Highly recommend!! Thank you guys for great food and service!!!!
