We were seated at a very small table between the busy kitchen with dirty dishes coming in & food coming out and the bathrooms. I wanted to do local seafood. Starting with their crab pretzel appetizer then am moving to musselâs for lunch. The appetizer was like 6 mini crab cakes with tartar & cocktail sauce - delicious! But this wasnât the pretzel with dip we ordered. My husband ate 1/2 of his meal before my mussels arrived. They were disappointing; small, shriveled & tasteless in a vinegary wine sauce. I just couldnât eat it, the chef came out & I ordered a crab cake sandwich with house salad instead of fries. Fresh delicious salad with house vinaigrette. My husband is enjoying his oyster po boy. The crab cake was big juicy & delicious.Large restaurant a few outside tables, big bar. Pub atmosphere with tables close together. Our group of 13 people were in Annapolis for a 4 day reunion and Carrol's Creek was "voted" as our best restaurant among the 6 we visited. Crab cakes had large chunks of crab meat with just enough binder to keep their shape. Shrimp Po' Boy was another favorite. Service was very good considering the size of the group.

My wife and I were in Annapolis for some Navy football and decided to extend our stay over the long Labor Day holiday. The Sailor Oyster Bar was only two blocks from our hotel and sounded good for a midday oyster stop.We were especially lucky as Sunday is all day Happy Hour. This means that a selection of the oysters are $1 each and select beers and wine are priced at $5. Brilliant!For under $50 with tip we enjoyed two dozen different and very fresh oysters, the homemade pickle appetizer, and a glass of wine each. I am usually wary when a restaurant has all 5-star ratings, but in this case it is well warranted. As we head into fall find some time to visit SOB on a Sunday afternoon and enjoy. You can thank me later.

We visited the Boatyard Bar and Grill about a week ago. The bar has happy hour specials ($1 oysters) and was crowded at the time, although we were able to find seats. The service is fine, beer selections good, and there was a nice atmosphere - everybody having a good time. We stayed for dinner (FYI, no reservations) and had their crabcake dinner. Market price was $34. The cakes had lots of fresh, flavorful crab and were so large, we brought two home with us and had them the next day. I would definitely recommend and return.

Tucked off Severn Street, you walk by bigger seafood restaurants, but youâll enjoy the more intimate feel of OâLearyâs. Reservation made through Resy for later on a Friday night. Place was full. Sat at bar for 15 minutes before table was ready, an easy wait with an attentive bar tender and interesting company. Lovely table for two with an amazing server (Kathryn). The seafood was incredible in a town known for seafood. Fresh Chesapeake oysters, Lobster Risotto (special), blackened Ahi and a dessert of coffee and butterscotch pudding. Just a great place with an elegant but low key crab town vibe. Easy walk from USNA or downtown. Appetizer, two entrees, coffee, dessert and 4 drinks with gratuity just over $200. Weâll be back. Definitely worth the wait and the $$$.

Perched on the Severn River at the base of "the Naval Academy bridge," the Severn Inn has an expansive view of the Severn River and the Naval Academy. We decided to try Cantler's after spending a full day in Annapolis. We got there on a Saturday night on the later side...probably after 9:30 and got a table for 2 pretty quickly. We got the crab dip appetizer which was tasty, but not big pieces of crab...smaller flakes, but nice flavor. The crabs were larges and tasty and meaty. We ordered 6 and they came out quickly and hot. We wanted a couple of more and they too came out quickly. We ordered corn on the cob and it was yummy....they accidentally brought us more than we ordered and they just told us to have it since it was their error. Service was friendly. We will be back when in the area!

This would have been a 5 star review but for a heavy handed rosemary seasoning to the veal saltimboca.Apps were delicious, perfectly grilled calamari on arugula and a shared antipasto platter.Entrees matched as well ex. for the veal....good but overpowered by rosemary. Vongole linguine, halibut and an unique pasta with broccolini and tortellini with mushroom, shallots speck and parmesan sauce all were excellent. Portions sized perfectly; service very helpful and accommodating for any changes requested. Wine list heavy on Italian as expected with many options priced at reasonable markups. Very good bread accented with evo was enjoyed by all esp. our toddler.We'll plan to return when visiting soon.Atmosphere was attractive, open style and noise level well under control.

We had visited the Point twice in the past month for lunch. It is a nice setting on Mill Creek. We decided to try their crab cake entree and WOW is the one word to describe it. Nothing but jumbo lump crab meat, no fillers. We've had crab cakes throughout the Baltimore metro and these are by far the best! Also their chips are outstanding, made on the premises.
