Antiparos (Greek: Αντίπαρος; Ancient Greek: Ὠλίαρος Oliaros) is a small island in the southern Aegean, at the heart of the Cyclades, which is less than one nautical mile (1.9 km) from Paros, the port to which it is connected with a local ferry. Saliagos island is the most ancient settlement in the Cyclades, and Despotiko, an uninhabited island in the southwest of Antiparos, is a place of great archaeological importance.

Avra has a great location at the water's edge on the eastern side of the port. The grilled octopus was 'real' not frozen and very tasty. Calamari also very good. The only downer was that the staff were totally unfriendly - not a smile among them!

ANTIPAROS is a beautiful small island. If you have a car or a bike, make sure to drive to the south towards Saint George beach. There you will see two nice restaurants next to each other facing the Despotiko island. It is beautiful, relaxing place. At Akrogiali, the service is nice. We got Greek salad with arugula, crab salad and fried red mullets which were delicious. Highly recommended!

What a meal, the flavours will last with me for a long time. All meals selected off the specials board. Fresh & flavorsome with great table service. As I had selected our meal, I watched the others coming out and wondered if I ordered the right ones. Either way I'd be more than happy coming back.

I have been to Greece almost twenty times and I can say this is quite a typical taverna. The food is mainly fried and it's good but I think it is not exceptional. Taramasalata was good and so was the smoked mackerel I had but I would say average. Besides the owner who looked nice and friendly really got on my nerves because he started hitting his (or his friend's ) dog since he didn't want to stayin a hot room on the leash and I strongly complained. Anyway the place is always full so I guess people like it.

Beach House Antiparos, is a new, one of a kind, beach resort, aiming to "enhance the Antiparos experience" on a daily basis for a wide range of ages with a nack for quality. We are found in the most wind protected and picturesque beach on the island. We a
This was my second visit at the Beach House. The first was two yearâs ago and I was not thrilled. And unfortunately the second visit simply verified the feeling of the first visit. The location is superb, and the owners have taken extra care to transform the bay which is sheltered by the wind. And an additional parking space was created this year which allows visitors to park safely and not in the middle of the road like it was happening up to now.We visited the restaurant for lunch. Upon arriving at the restaurant we were met by at least five waiters and waitresses who were taking turns in welcoming us and asking us if we were from Paros or Antiparos. I found this to be very tacky â what difference does it make anyway? We were shown to our table and the âgroupâ of waiters continued coming. At some point I lost track completely. When I asked one of them to stabilize the table as it was shaking he told me âI will inform my colleaguesâ! I thought I was in a conference room ! And then ..dadah ..few minutes later someone else came and fixed it. When I tried repeatedly to get another glass of wine nobody was paying attention and finally it had to be someone from within the cooking area that saw me and alerted a waiter! What good is it to have a crowded service when it is not there when needed? We chose three dishes from the menu, the flap steak (without side dish) the bulgur salad with octopus and the beach house salad along with 2 glasses of white wine and some bread. The food was delicious but the total for the three dishes and the wine was 75 euros!! I found the place to be excessively expensive, although the food was tasty and the service overly attentive to the point of being obnoxious. There are certainly other ways to welcome your client and make him feel âat homeâ and relaxed and certainly The Beach House does not provide it.
Sapou is definitely a notch above any restaurant in the Paros and Antiparos area. Excellent raw materials, impeccable service in an otherwise ordinary environment surprises the dinner pleasantly. The crab salad and the over baked avocado salad were great. But the culinary revelation were the Black Angus succulent short ribs. The meat was literally falling off the bone and although fatty, was immensely tasty. The tuna tataki was also a good but not great starter.Desserts were ok,not special and the 52euros per person bill was on the high side but certainly value for money

Came across this place while exploring the island having hired a quad bike and decided to have lunch. Friendly and efficient service together with excellent competitively priced Greek food.Lovely roast chicken with potatoes (great seasoning), spinach pie and best fish roe salad (tarama) that I have ever had! We returned the next day.The setting together with the view of the sea is an added bonus and I would recommend for sure.

We happened upon this amazing little Restaurant/Hotel on a day trip from Paros island when we had an hour or two to spend. The food was excellent with everything fresh. The service friendly and quick. Prices are a little higher than other places.Thank you for your review! Happy to see you soon! :)

A couple of minutes from the beach, this Taverna offer you good food, good service and the breeze end shade (or sun) you might need. During my one week in Antiparos i ate here seberal times. A generous souvlaki, zucchini fritters, the greek salad, the tsatziki. Loved itAll vegetables comes from the garden in this family driven restaurant. Great service - and the daughters waiting at the tables are really attentive and service minded. Will miss this taverna.

I wish I had taken more pictures but I couldnât wait to taste the delicious food! My absolute favourite was the lahanodolmades (cabbage rolls), closely followed by the bamie (okra) and the melt-in-your-mouth octopus. I think I tried everything on the menu. Fondly remembered are the Papoutsakia (stuffed eggplant), moussaka, gigantes (baked Lima beans) briam (baked vegetables), dolmadakia (vine leaves stuffed w rice), gemista (tomatoes and peppers stuffed w rice) and vlita (boiled amaranth). All served with - not feta, but the local cheese. A must try! However, the rarely remembered tsatsiki (yoghurt dip) needs special mention. Just the right amount of garlic, cucumbers and salt, perfectly balanced and lovingly prepared by Apostolis. Service was great; at the end of the meal we were treated to home baked sweets and ... figs from Pavlosâ fig trees! Ben likes to strum his guitar and the evening ends with lovely Greek music. A balmy night, great food, soft music... simply perfection!
