Things to do in Altafulla
We have been in Altafulla for two weeks and have had the opportunity to try all the restaurants with a terrace by the sea of ââthe town. I can only talk about how well we have eaten these days in the 5 restaurants that are on the promenade by the sea. But we have to recognize that, by far, in the end we have repeated and repeated every night at Mercadet del Mar.The first reason is because the location is perfect, since it is on the promenade, but a little separated, almost at the end, so it is not like the other much more bustling terraces. The terrace is just 5 minutes from the shore of the sea... You can have dinner while you hear the waves breaking. That is the only noise... no cars, no machines...The second reason is that the food is absolutely delicious. And after all these days, no day has failed any of the dishes and we have been able to try practically the entire menu. The fast and efficient service. The manager and the waiters, fantastic. The cook or cooks ... to take them home. Many typical Catalan dishes, delicious, but I have to recommend the fish, rice (I don't like to eat rice in the night, but in this case we couldn't stop doing it and the seafood (what a wonder of prawns and the sauce of mussels, oysters and hedgehogs ...), but also salads (what a fantastic tomato burrata). All very fresh and products of the day.Only one recommendation: you have to book because if it is not impossible to get a table. However, they open from 10 in the morning and I think kitchen is working until 10 pm. We only went for dinner, and dinner time is busy since 6:30 pm.

We were tempted to visit this restaurant for lunch as it had a distinctive menu del dia and was particularly well patronised by local people. Indeed, it was one of busiest in Tarragona at the time. The well presented menu del dia was uncompromisingly Spanish. The service was friendly and efficient. Very good value. A gem.

Restaurant Blau MarÃ, located in a privileged place in front of the marina of Torredembarra, specialized in Mediterranean cuisine. From the sea and land direct to your plate, fresh and quality products. We have a chill out terrace with beautiful views ove
This is a perfect family restaurant with astonishing views to tha harbor and great atmosphere. Angelo and Lidia, the owners, take good care of the costumers and are very sweet with ids. I often have lunch here with my sister and brother in law and i can tell that food and service are excellent. Highly recommended.

This place has some great burgers alongside the classic tapas of the regio. Service is always great and friendly, even in the busy month of august. Great food and drinks at reasonable prices.
The poor menu leaves few alternatives - so i ordered a burger. This was the most greasy and disgusting piece of meat I have ever encountered. Served with something like a beastâs gut on top - that gushed even more fat over it, and potatoes on the side. No vegetables at all - just a few cooked onion rings, and no bread. Now a few hours later I can still feel the greasy fat slowly moving itâs way down my intestines. Man that was utterly disgusting!Sorry to tell you that in our restaurant no greasy meat is served, however we take note of your comments to keep improving.

As a family of six we were made to feel very welcome, and the staff, including our waiter Alex, were attentive and friendly. Calimari, pizzas and risotto were all well presented and tasty. All in all a very enjoyable experience in a lovely spot by the sea. Would recommend!Thank you !!

If you are looking for quality food, well presented with attention to detail in each course with a caring service from the staff, dine at this restaurant. We enjoyed lunch and an evening meal here. Lunchtime we enjoyed grilled sole sprinkled with almonds and pine nuts (our starters were chilled gazpacho soup and also potato & egg tower in a sausage sauce). Our evening starters were again the potato & egg tower & celery icecream dressed green salad. Now this was a surprise, the waiter dressed this salad from a small table close to our dining table, what a special starter that turned out to be. The main course was amazing, monkfish with seafoods, being king prawns and crayfish, mussels & cockles. (Be prepared to break open their shells to eat them) seafoods were served whole. For dessert we had lemon sorbet drizzled with vodka and chocolate fondant with hazelnut ice cream with a separate stack of fruit & cream. It was one amazing meal served by special people which made for a great evening out.

Terrace at the beach We got this tip from Spanish friends. On the end of the boulevard with a nice view at the beach. We had paella and a glass of wine. Reasonably priced and good paella.

Your beachside oasis in the beautiful seaside town of Altafulla. The best Spanish cuisine, for midday or evening meals. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Spent 12 nights in Altafulla in July. We found our favourite restaurant called Polini Bar and Restaurant. There are actually 2 Polini restaurants close to each other but the Bar and Restaurant was our favourite. Myles and Roberto were so welcoming. The food was excellent with plenty of variety although we fell in love with the Potatas Bravas - best we have every tasted. Great Tapas, fish dishes and good wine. The tables are situated right on the beach and its such a relaxing place to dine. We would highly recommend Polini
