Being in the Spa all day enjoying 3-course meals you are not really hungry, but once in a while you can enjoy a (sweet) snack here where a big variety of drinks, hot or cold, are served here or brought to you in the conservatory. Very good quality, very tasty, brought by friendly, efficient personnel.

When you walk into Ramblers, you feel like you are walking into a good friends kitchen. The entire staff are so friendly & welcoming. While on holiday in Peebles, we ate breakfast here two times & found the food to be reasonably priced and delicious - great value for the money. If you are looking for some great food in a friendly relaxed environment, give it a go! Oh and the kitchen shop you walk through to get in is great too!

Disappointed, won't be ordering chicken kiev again, not sure if it was frozen but was so hard, after waiting 35 mins for it to come to our tavble, we were disappointed. Cola didn't taste like cola, replaced the juice but just tasted the same If you are willing to give us another chance, please get in touch at 01721 720595 to speak to our manager directly.

We had a 2 course meal deal. I had fish & chips, husband had scampi & chips both very tasty & ample portions. Followed by a lemon sponge with custard & I had raspberry & white chocolate roulade. Both were really enjoyed. Staff were friendly and quick service.

Osso is an excellent contemporary style restaurant adjacent to the High street in Peebles. At night focuses more on three course Dinner, during the day is more 'laid back' and cafe style. Has won awards.
We had a lovely dinner at Osso - Halibut filet with truffled mash & wild mushrooms. The service, ambience and food were excellent. We found the restaurant through viamichelin.com where Osso is listed as a "Bib Gourmand" The Bib Gourmand spotlights restaurants that serve âhigh-quality meals which include two courses and a glass of wine or dessert for $40 or less. We highly recommend!!

Fish & chips done right. Been coming here for years. Always consistent. Great quality & value. Super fresh moist haddock in a crispy batter. Excellent chips. Some of the best fish & chips not just in the borders but in the known universe.

We were delighted and perplexed that we seemed to be the only people in Coltmans on a Thursday evening in early October. Initially, I felt the restaurant was lacking in ambience and could have benefitted from some mood lighting such as candles on the tables however, we were there to eat. The bread on offer was so delicious I was in danger of eating too much of it. My dining partner enjoyed his starter of hot smoked salmon but was totally knocked out by his main course of venison. He is still raving about how well it was presented and how wonderful it tasted. He does get out rather a lot, so for him to praise this dish so highly was unusual. I enjoyed my ribeye steak followed by a simple coffee. My companion chose to end his meal with a selection of sorbets which seemed to hit the spot. We had fabulous wine, Hogs Head if I remember correctly. We would recommend this restaurant highly. Definitely a place to book for a weekend in Peebles.
