Visited this restaurant twice over 2 days, staff were very polite and helpful. Menu tho not tho most extensive but more than adequate for our needs (and for an establishment this size)Food was prepared fresh as you waited, which was never too long

Fraoch Restaurant, set within The Lomond Hills Hotel, welcomes you to enjoy traditional Scottish Fayre in newly refurbished candlelit surroundings. Offering luscious dishes using locally sourced produce. The chefs take great pride in combining ingredients
We moved into the village in July and the Lomond Hills Hotel has become our favourite place to go. Both the staff and Ronnie the owner are very attentive and in our view provide a first class service. The restaurant has recently been refurbished and is a lovely place to eat, the changes they've made really give it a warm cosy feeling and the addition of some lovely pieces of local art really finish the new look off. There's also a new menu which provides lots of choice, my husband had the Pork Belly Cheeks which don't sound particularly appetising but they were delicious as was the Moroccan Mushrooms with Apricot Cous Cous that I had. If you like good wholesome food in lovely relaxed surroundings then you must come to the Lomond Hills Hotel. We've booked up for Christmas Day and New Year which we're really looking forward too! Many thanks indeed Pam_Drummond1 for posting such a lovely review after your "Fabulous Meal" in our newly refurbished restaurant.I'm so pleased that we have helped you settle into your new surroundings in the beautiful town of Freuchie.I know that you have now become regulars and it's always great to see you both.Best wishes and thanks again.Ronnie.

I have now visited Madhouse Bakery on three different occassions and I have been very happy with the service each visit. The afternoon tea is delightful, friendly staff and a great environment.

We had drinks in the Bruce because they offered real ale on tap whereas the other three pubs we found didn't. We drank there on both nights in the village and the bar was cosy and friendly. We also had dinner. It was fine. Nothing special, but it was fine. You don't need to eat in the Bruce if you stay in Falkland, but it was as good as the other places we ate, and, of course, it has REAL ALE on tap. Always a bonus.

Thoroughly enjoyed the steak pie here, was simply delicious and divine!! Was defiantly needed after being on the bus tour for a few hours visiting various parts of fife and what it has to offer. Was very kindly greeted by your waitress meg, she was very attentive, pleasant and I received a 5 star service whilst in this restaurant/pub from her. Very much appreciated and thank you for asking about my trip so far and taking interest in my pictures.

We were recommended this place by a local. What a fantastic little tavern, tucked up a side street. The menu was full and varied, all home cooked and very friendly staff. We are staying in Stirling so wanted a main meal without chips! We opted for the s steak pie, potatoes and veg. It was absolutely delicious and I havenât tasted a steak pie like that since my Mum made it. Wholesome, very plentiful and extremely tasty. The taverns walls are covered in useful local historical information. VERY highly recommended

Nice little place up the stairs (as its title hints). Good spot for lunch or coffee and cake. Lots of Outlander references as they obviously used the place when filming in Falkland. I loved the teapot collection. Lentil soup hearty and ideal for a rainy day.
