If you mention engineering to ladies not many will be interesting but I have visited these Giants now four times and would go again. The pure beauty of the beasts which used to pump the for Hastings is fantastic, very typically Victorian, they were so very clever and even with something like water pumping they have made it beautiful to the eye. You can have a guided tour if you wish but better to book in advance otherwise you can go it alone and just read the notices but with the tour you can ask those burning questions. There is no charge to visit or tour but donation boxes are in abundance and the tour is work a bob or two at leas! There is a small cafe there serving tea and coffee and what I understand homemade cake. Do go and see this and take the children those I saw were fascinated with it all.

2 adults with an 11 year old boy and an 8 year old daughter. The parking was fine and despite the inclement weather,my kids enjoyed the outdoor activities.Inside, there is a wealth of hands on science and nature that kids of all ages can try out.The cafe is limited due to space restrictions, but it's serviceable and the food is fine.I would also like to mention the staff, who all seemed to enjoy interacting with the public. The Planetarium is basically an inflateable dome, but the cosy setup was a lot of fun, especially the presenter.

We are a hands-on science and discovery centre aimed at primary school aged children with over 90 activities to entertain. We have an amazing outdoor play area which includes an all-access section. With a picnic area and coffee shop, you can stay all day.
This place is AMAZING! Having stayed overnight locally, visiting legoland the day before, we were looking for something fun and interesting for our 3 year old before we went home and this did not disappoint! The centre is absolutely brilliant for toddlers and children, with so much to do, see, learn and watch. There were 100 activities and exhibits and only 1 out of use, including a huge water play area, giant building section with bricks and ride on dumper trucks, puzzles and experiments into forces, colours, the body, flight and so much more. There's a viewing tower you can climb the 88 steps. Great cafe, nice little gift shop and huge adventure playground outside. Hours and hours of fun were had, we didn't leave until they closed and our son had the best time. The centre is run by lovely, friendly staff and it is clean, well organised and incredibly well maintained. We've been to a few similar places which have lots of exhibits out if action and they're all a bit run down, but not this one! I highly, highly recommend this for an entire day out for all ages. There's woodland walks and a go ape on the same site and a large car park with very reasonable rates. Highly recommend!! We're already planning our next trip back!

With the increase in cases of coronavirus in the UK and other countries the RSGB has taken the difficult decision to close the NRC temporarily from Wednesday, 18 March 2020. Even with extra precautions it is no longer possible to ensure the safety of NRC volunteers and visitors. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause those who have planned visits but we hope people will understand the decision in light of the current fast-moving situation.
Part of the Bletchley Park site an intetesting run through the history of radio and the chance for a interesting chat with the volunteer radio hams who are there daily to help you understand the importance of radio hams to our success in WW2.

A great place to visit we were greeted by a very pleasant man who told us a short break down of the buildings history and then we were set on our way to explore all the displays. The building itself is very beautiful and it is like stepping back in time the floorboards creak with their age on the staircase their is a fantastic window of stained glass and another further up. Not only a place with with interesting items on display to many to mention but it great thought giver to all amazing ideas from people of the past. There are steps outside and stairs inside. Entry is by donation of £5 very good value

We had a fab time here with our 3 year old and wished we had somewhere like this to go near our home. The staff were fantastic.

The aim of the centre is to increase awareness and understanding of the wind farm itself, as well as to raise knowledge about offshore wind energy and global climate change.
