Second time around with friends and family from Canada. The view is breathtaking and all the special small shops are offering you something unique. A lovely pottery, children's theatre, cosy restaurant, medieval church and volière with birds of prey they use for films. Fantastic space!

A beautiful fishing port which is still active today. You can find the local catch at the market. A lovely location.

This dune is an interesting place facing the ocean and about one hundred meters high. It is not too hard to climb but it was rather windy when we went there and quite a few people climbed it. The view from the top is nice overlooking the ocean. We went there by bicycle which is convenient since it is easy to park close to the dune.

The terrace is the must of your stay in Guethary. You can take advantage of the sunset and of the show of the surfers. The terrace offers a sublime panorama which extends of Biarritz to Spain. Easily accessible on foot since city center.

Formerly port whaler, then tuna boat and finally sardine fisherman, the port of Guethary is the smallest port of the Basque coast. It has the particularity to be in dry dock; in other words all the boats are raised outside the water there. The port is protected by a short dike. The port of Guethary is a peaceful place to be quietly discovered on foot.

Rainy weather and inadequate footwear curtailed our venturing into the tunnel, but otherwise, the ramparts are well-preserved and interesting.
