The Shrine is a beautifully retored 19th century Catholic church. St Joseph was built for German immigrants and staffed by Jesuit priests. We offer a Catholic mass every Sunday at 11am and a tour of the church follows each mass.

This is really pretty and looks like it was built 175 years ago. Those Jesuits knew how to build a lasting church. Go on a sunny day and enjoy the light coming through the windows.

Minutes from the modern marvel of the Gateway Arch is this elegant cathedral, the oldest one west of the Mississippi River. Entering it brings peace. It is exquisitely maintained and elegant in its simplicity and grace.
