Holidaymakers to the Gold Coast are welcome to attend services at Reach Out for Christ – a popular Christian Church located at Carrara – just west of Surfers Paradise. Sunday services commence at 9.30am and 6.30pm. Reach Out For Christ, Gold Coast, was founded by Dr Steve Ryder in 1979 to become the international headquarters of Reach Out for Christ International Ministries, which holds crusades throughout the world – where the deaf and blind have been healed.

Since 1912 this huge, imposing redbrick church has shown itself to the people of Brisbane, simply by being the highest structure you can see for miles.

Lovely place to visit if you want a piece of Brisbane history. It’s free to visit, a great place to cool down and catch your breathe in the warm weather while admiring the beautiful and historic architecture. Love the location of it as it’s not to far to get to and how it’s located around the fast paced and ever changing surroundings while remaining true to itself. The building on the right is the original cathedral while on the left is now the current and bigger version. The glass murals are a combination of French and German style (special shout-out to the staff in attendance for the knowledge). COVID-19 protocols are well in place and enforced (mandatory checkin and checkout, plenty of hand sanitizers around).

The Innisfail Temple is a Temple of all Religions founded on Eastern Principles. The Innisfail Temple is a functioning Temple and Visitors are welcome to meditate, to admire the Temple or to enjoy its History. Visitors are invited to share in the calmness that the Temple offers to those who seek Tranquility.
My wife and I often visit our Chinese and other friends at the Temple on Sunday mornings - social visits. This must be one of the best kept Chinese Temples in Australia with a history going back to original settlers in Innisfail. The temple has many artifacts preserving its rich history.
