The Sanctuary is small and really beautiful, Gothic Aragonese in style. You are immediately attracted by the statue of Our Lady of Bonaria, which arrived in Sardinia in a very adventurous way in 1370. There is a special atmosphere in the Sanctuary. The Basilica was built in 1704 and is used on Saturdays and Sundays and for special events. The location is perfect to enjoy a great view.

The complex of Santa Vittoria is one of the most important Nuragic sanctuaries in Sardinia. It is located in the territory of Serri, precisely in the highest part of the Giara di Serri, a basalt plateau 650 metres above sea level. The site served as a meeting place for membres of different nuragic communities. The meetings were peaceful and in addition to water worship rituals, activities of a commercial nature took place there and agreements were formed among princes. This dual function, religious and civil, is confirmed by the division of sapces into an area for worship, which included a holy well and an open -air temple, and a zone including a large "festival area".Despite undergoing various modifications and renovations, the village-sanctuary continued to be frequented during the Carthaginian period (the end of the 6th century BC-238 BC) and the biginning of roman rule in Sardinia. the characteristics of the border areas were also maintained in the Byzantine period (6th-7th century AD), when a church was built and dedicated to Santa Maria della Vittoria, a name later given to entire area.
