This is a magnificent, massive, clean place in Kanyakumari, with a nice Garden. A massive Hanuman Statue in front space of the temple makes the Temple elegant. The place is very near to the Kanyakumari Beach and easily approachable by cars and auto-rickshaw, with good parking facilities The upper floor of the temple is very attractive with full depiction of The Ramayana

This temple is situated a little interior from the main road of Nagerkoil - Thiruvananthapuram route. It is around 15 - 16 KMS from Nagerkoil.. The real name of this hill is "VeliMalai". The temple is situated in the foot hill of this velimalai.. In silapathikaram this temple is referred as "Chera Naatu Aeragam". One of the Kadai Ezhu Vallalgal "Aay" ruled this region. The region where the Aay rulers ruled is called VeliMalai. This hill is also called as " Velvi Malai' (hill of Yagna or yagam) since Lord Muruga performed a Yagna to marry Goddess Valli. The temple has around 40 steps. Climb on it and reach the sannithi. You will be really thrilled to see the gigantic 8.5 feet of Lord Muruga with Goddess Valli (6.5 feet) on HIS left side. Excellent vibrations can be felt. Stay at least for 24 minutes inside the temple sitting silently in a place to feel this..
