Manchester Cathedral has been centre stage in its city’s history for nearly 600 years. In 1421 Henry V signed a royal charter granting permission for a collegiate church to be built. In 1847 a new Manchester diocese was created and this historic church became a Cathedral. The doors are open 7 days a week and the admission is free. Do not miss one of the most interesting churches in the land at the heart of one of the most exciting cities on Earth.
Very interesting, impressive building. Worth a visit to immerse yourself in the quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

The Grade II listed Cathedral Church of St John the Evangelist, Salford. The mother church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Salford. A sanctuary in the city. Come an see the beauty of our mother church.
No matter you are a Catholic Christian or not, I am sure you will feel peaceful and blessed when you visit this Cathedral. You will also be impressed by its historical building and the solemn church altar. Don't miss the opportunity to pray in the church and share your secrecy with God.

I was walking past today and was so pleased to see the shop is open again selling incense, Buddhist gifts, malas and beads, Buddhist statues, singing bowls, books, yoga equipment as well as a selection of fair trade drinks, snacks and toiletries. Even with the COVID secure screen at the till it sill looks really open and staff were as friendly as ever. They’ve taken great care with the changes and sanitiser by the entrance/ exit. Oh and there’s currently some lovely hand knitted gifts. Great to support local businesses and charities.
