From the moment we arrived till we departed, excellent service from all the staff was experienced. A relaxed check in comfort accompanied by drinks. The rooms had so many facilities not seen in most hotels, e.g. the face wash, shaving foam and aftershave in addition to moisturiser and lotions for ladies. Complimentary Snacks & teabags were refreshed daily. The best experience was the keseki dinners we enjoyed on both nights. Besides the fresh ingredients, the two serving staff went out of their way to translate the ingredients so that we could understand. I hope that hotel management will convey the appreciation from all of us staying in 301-304. I attached a photo.

Stayed a night during our trip to Izumo, not knowing what to expect but booked it because it had good reviews. Stunned by the spacious lobby and very well appointed interior decor - beautiful tatami hallways and lots of wooden beams and sand plaster walls creates a traditional Japanese feel - yet with all the modern amenity like central heating, wifi, and a great coffee free of charge at the lounge area. Some rooms has roten-buro (bath) in balcony, made from Hinoki. The hotel also has many public baths and saunas, it is a true luxury to stretch at one of them and then enjoy a free candy bar and ramen after the bath. The food was excellent too. Due to the fact it is a big hotel (Usagi and Keiun - two hotels connected, Keiun being quieter and high grade), you need to pre-book the breakfast and dinner time upon reservation, and the food service feels like served by airline cabin crew (efficient and fast) - but the quality of each dish is well above average. Will definitely stay again.

Thanks to 130th anniversary! ! You can enjoy dinner in "Japanese dinning Izumo" . One of Japan's largest "MAGATAMA" power stone welcome guests. Free WiFi is available in public area. We have free transportation to Tamatsukuri-Onsen station.
Beautiful modern ryokan hotel with awesome buffet dinner and breakfast. Most of the food were Japanese with a few western styled food "Japanified". The hotel supplies one style of yukata for the gents and many choices for the ladies. The room was spacious and very clean with a modern bathroom. The beds were very comfortable (very important because we have been traveling for two weeks at this point). The area around the hotel was very pleasant to walk around with a river running in front of the hotel.

When we arrived the hotel, they serve Matcha and Japanese sweets for welcome tea and made us expect for futher hospitality of this hotel. Actually this hotel was really comfotable. Clean and enough for traditional service as rental Yukata, geta, (wooden sandal) and great hospitality by the staff. The hotel provided rental Yukata(Kimono style) for relaxing and for sleeping wear. When we stayed this hotel, they have a service for the complimentary bath entry ticket for their sister hotel which was located 2-3 min from the hotel. We enjoyed the different type of outside bath at both hotel. You are able to walk around the hotel and its small town with Yukata and geta sandale. At the dinner, various style of Japanese cuisine were served and these were attracted us visually and taste-wise as well. At the breakfast, therewere also various types of food as Japanese and westeren style food so everyone in our family members were enjoyed their own style breakfast. You can cook sunny side egg by yourself at the table with fuel tablets and tiny stove on your table. It's notable that the attitude of the manager was so professional and treat his staff so nicely therefore, each staff's attitude/hospitality was great in detail.

One of the best decisions we made during our recent trip to Japan was staying at the Ohashikan. We stayed in a standard room overlooking the Ohashi River. The room was large and quiet. The futon beds were placed on top of foam mattresses and were very comfortable. The wifi was very good. The staff, especially James, were friendly and very helpful. Ohashikan has an excellent location. It is a ten minute or so walk to the Matsue Castle and the Castle area which includes Lafcadio Hearn’s Residence and Museum, and a longer walk in the other direction to the center of town and the railroad station. On the first night we dined at the hotel’s restaurant. The Japanese food was wonderful. Even if you don’t stay at the hotel go to the restaurant and enjoy the food at Shosuitei. We opted for the western breakfast which was also excellent, The hotel recently started a bar and grill, The Willows, on the 2nd floor with a long bar overlooking the river with James as the bartender/host. He offers specialty cocktails and superb Japanese whiskies. Its hours were Tuesday to Saturday from 5:30 to 10 pm when we stayed at the hotel. In addition to the local sites, if you have time, take a day trip by train to the Adachi Museum of Art in Yasugi with its garden. When you exit the Yasugi train station there is a free shuttle bus that takes you to the museum. If you travel to Matsue a stay at the Ohashikan is highly recommended. It will help make you visit a very special experience.

Classic Japanese-oriented mountain ryokan. We were the only foreigners, so it was a fun immersion (literally as well as figuratively). Waaaaay more fun that ryokan aimed at foreigners. They do have a laminated English sheet which explains where things are, opening hours and such. If you haven’t been to an onsen before, familiarize yourself with the routine online first. The baths are single gender, both indoor and outdoor. I suspect it may not be a natural spring, but it is nice. Not fancy. The food was great - 5 little appetizers, generous portion of 4 kinds of sashimi, a fun hotpot or fish and veggies, tempura, a DIY grill of beef and veggies, lots of pickles, rice, soup, mochi. The most varied ryokan meal we had in Japan.

Beautiful tradition ryokhan with steam bath and onsen outdoor in peaceful setting. Very luxurious feeling on arrival and you are given your Japanese kimono and outfit for taking dinner. We slept on mats in a large family room. It has a fridge and plenty of space. Food was typical Japanese set meals with fish steamed and pickled vegetables on a large tray.

Of the 14 rooms is a small hot spring inn. Please spend leisurely relaxed. For women color "yukata" free lending. Please enjoy your green tea welcome drink.
This is a very cute and small ryokan hotel with friendly staff, and excellent facilities. Our room had an explicit view to the lake. Staying in this hotel you obtain an outstanding overview of Japanese hospitality. The Onsen inside the hotel was so convenient and well organized and clean. The breakfast was outstanding. Very much suggested.

While it was very nice restaurant in a different location. There is a lot of competition in this area for Onsen. This is a smaller property with a nice lake view but not being able to where are yukata to dinner was a little strange. The meals here were great. Breakfast was served in the same location. Even with a Japanese speaker in our group communication was a little confused. Facility was clean. Having stayed in other onsen with a very natural setting and beautiful gardens this felt more like a hot tub. Awesome popsicles offered in the onsen might have been the highlight
