We went to the hotel for the spa and onsen. There's one on the main hotel grounds and another across the parking lot. Very traditional and relaxing. The traditional dinner is a must have at the gorgeous restaurant with the view of the bay.

Fukudaya features function of city hotel and cozy space of traditional japanese inn.
I stayed in the new building of Fukudaya. The old building is more than 50 years old and the new building was completed in 2016 with only 7 rooms which have modern decorations. Besides, there is in-room outdoor onsen in every room. The outdoor public onsen of the ryokan is on the top floor of this new building. If you stay in the new building, the minibar is free and they refill it every day. If you go there from Nagasaki, you can take Nagasaki Keneibus. It takes around 1.5 hours. You can take off right in front of the ryokan. I stayed there for two nights. Their breakfast and dinner were quite nice. They will prepare dinner menus for you if you stay there for more than one night.

An authentic Japanese Style Accommodation(Ryokan). The hot spring which is slightly colored is flowing for more than 1500years and cures your sore back or fresh cuts and warm your body. The food using 100% Island's produces is delicious and chef's knifing skill is impressive. We will not recommend you to come over if you can not eat raw fish, however, the chef can provide boiled/fried/grilled fish or serve vegetarian food full of vegetable rice and Iki TOFU.

They have all details that you might need written on big cards in English. Room is very big. Nice varenda. However smell of smoke of cigarette. Amenities - ok. Wifi - ok The onsen is in next building so you need to pass via the reception area. Also this is old place but have big windows and if you in day time you can enjoy the view. We did not took breakfast so no comment. As it is very cheap and the target is onsen I believe it give best value

Iki island is located in distance of 20km from Hakata ctty of Kyushu Japan, and 120km from the southern end of Korean Paninsla. Iki, the small island, 17km from north to South, 14km east to west, was an intermediary point of culture, political and trade exchange between ancient Japan and China. 5 stories high but quite small for an Onsen hotel. The 6th floor roof had 6 private bath rooms where you could reserve for an hour of indulging your body in the natural hot spring while looking out over the sea. Coffee was free but the food was not included so they recommended another place close by that had a very filling course of noodles, rice, tempura and sushi along with 2 tiny desserts of baked egg custard and green tea pudding. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and functional. The main bath had an outside pool and also a sauna. I needed that to steam me so I could use the scrubbing lotion to get off all the dead skin on my legs. This prepared me for the long walk around the village the next day.

Externally this property appears worse for wear but the room was newly renovated with both Japanese and Western features. The bathroom was excellent and the bed extremely comfortable. The property has a rotemburo which was excellent. There are a plethora of eating possibilities nearby and an excellent local shop which prepares great bento boxes for walking.

Everything about Hanzuiryo is spectacular, First is the location, up in the mountains of the Unzen Amakusa National Park. You have your own special entrance down the driveway in a secluded style resort where the rooms are separate from the main building. When I say rooms, they are more like massive apartments with upstairs and downstairs areas for sleeping, dining and relaxing all set up in advance. From your arrival till your departure the staff members are there at you beck and call, effectively and efficiently going about their tasks in a professional and sometimes stealth manner. Any request isn`t at all a bother and they will go out of their way to achieve satisfaction. The dining experience is simply breathtaking with an endless supply for immaculately presented and mouthwatering speciality dishes. It is this Kaiseki (high end) dining experience that will stay with you for years to come and in my opinion the highlight of the stay. Finally the Onsens (Hot Springs) are numerous and indeed relaxing to the core. Public and private are available and all you have to do is let the staff know when and where you want to bathe and everything is taken care of for you. This place is as close to perfection as you will get and pure Japanese Omotenashi (Hospitality) 10 out of 10.
